• Jun. 16, 2007 - good time with inlaws, thankfully
It could have gotten really rough.
We spent the last couple days with Mike's family, dividing up family heirlooms. (MIL moved to senior living almost a year ago, but the house has not been finished, yet.) These conversations, of course, can get really, really sticky. Thankfully, SIL and I ave different tastes, so while there were a few items we both wanted, the major ones we liked were different.
Even the kids did really well, though they had to sit in one room of the house for several hours. They were able to go outside some, but it was really, really hot, so they didn't WANT to be out there for long.
We had put a lot of prayer into this weekend, and are all thankful to God that it went very, very well.
We are, however, exhausted! :)
On the way home last night, 13yo said, "Mom, we should stop at a garage sale!" AY! I told her we had just spent the whole day at a garage sale, for free!!! :) |
