Take a walk down memory lane...

Posted in Random Ramblings

Anyone remember the show Kids Incorporated? You Can't Do That On Television, Double Dare?  How about He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Care BearsJem And The Holograms  Don't forget The Greatest American Hero,  Knight Rider, Charles in Charge and B.J. and the Bear

How about The Goonies, The Neverending Story, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Karate Kid, Grease 2Dirty Dancing & Back to the Future?

These are just a few of the shows and movies you can find the intros to on Retrojunk.com.  Search the vault of TV shows, commericals and movies from the 70's, 80's & 90's.

Take a walk down memory lane.  Relive your childhood memories.  Show your kids those cheezy shows you used to watch. LOL You'll have a great time.

Then, let me hear from you!  What was your favorite TV show and movie as a kid?

April 14, 2006 - I remember those!

We were in Sams the other day and saw DVD sets for the first 3 seasons of Wonder Woman! I was showing my girls and they looked at me real funny when I said I wanted to be her as a child. I don't know if I can come up with a favorite but I enjoyed Little House, The Waltons, Facts of Life, and the one that I haven't seen in years, Gomer Pyle. Thanks for the stroll!

April 14, 2006 - And, How old are you?

Posted by SandBetweenMyToes

Well, I happen to be of the Grease 1 generation. Not 2. I LOVED that movie. I shutter to think now about how immoral it was. I'd never let my teens watch it. I also loved Jaws. I never even heard of most of the others you mentioned. Where was I? Probably in college! I also liked Little House, tho I didn't see many of the later ones. The Waltons, Wonder Woman, Isis (another super hero). I can remember now, spinning in circles with my best friend, chanting "Oh, mighty Isis." Of course, then, I didn't know she was Greek goddess!
The only ones I can seem to remember are the ones already listed. My brain is in a fog! I also liked The Facts of Life. Maybe if you get more comments from MY generation, I will have some more memories.

The 80's show I loved the most was "Scarecrow and Mrs. King". I was head over heels for Bruce Boxleitner who is actually married now to Melissa Gilbert, "Laura" from my other favorite show, "little house on the prairie"!

We don't have satellite tv, so I never see tv anymore. But when I am at my Mom's, the first thing I do is turn the tv on to TV Land. I love the old stuff. And we did Netflix for a while- I got to see all the old Wonder Womans, The Six Million Dollar Man, The Waltons. And remember Silver Spoons and Different Strokes? Those were 2 of my favs.

One of my friends said she saw an Electric Company DVD in Costco, but I've been to 3 around town and can't find it!

On an unrelated note, it looks like we're spending July (4th-26th) in NE TN. I know that part of it is likely to be somewhere down your way (probably Townsend -- I like it better over there than right in PF or G'burg S'ville, etc.).
