Learning Wrap-Ups: Review

Posted in Product Reviews

If you haven't used Learning Wrap Ups with your kids, what are you waiting for?!  I recently bought the 10 Day Mastery Kits for Addition and Multiplication (I definately plan on adding the other kits to our curriculum.)  My girls love these keys.  They take them with them everywhere.  Since they are make a durable material, they will withstand all they use they will get.

They are really easy to use...

  1. Hold the bundle of wrap-ups at the top of the key and select the specific key you want to wrap.
  2. Begin with the sting next to the first number on the left. Read the large number in the center and perform the function (example 12 X 7). Find the answer on the right side, and then draw the string around the back to the next number on the left. Continue the process until complete.
  3. As you wrap the keys, say the problems and answers aloud. This will provide for auditory learning.
  4. When finished, secure the string in the notch at the bottom and see if the string matches the lines on the back. If they do, the key was wrapped correctly.
You can see a demonstration of how they work here.

The keys utilize many learning senses and are fun enough that students are willing to use them over and over until they master their facts. (Did I mention my girls love these?)   Each set covers 120 basic facts. Use a stopwatch to measure improvement and to see how fast they can really go. Choose from many combinations of individual titles to kits that provide value and savings. Each set contains 10 self-correcting keys and covers all the facts for that operation.

As an added bonus, each key has a corresponding 32 page workbook that provides 10-day lesson plans for learning the basic facts for Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division. They show students how much they have learned and how little they have left as they progress through the facts.

Here are some of the other keys that are available:
So, check out the Learning Wrap-Ups today.  Your kids will have so much fun, they won't even realize they are learning.  THAT is my favorite kind of schooling! :-D

Or at least "I" do. I'm not sure the dc do, since I have them take them in the car on various trips. We have addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and states/capitals. They do work because I quized my 8yos on his mulitiplication tables after only him doing wraps up occasionally on his own time and he only missed one flash card! Great product.
