Today
we spent the day in Madisonville, TN. Tracy's cousin,
Terri, invited us to come to her house for a cookout. The
day started out with the beautiful 1 1/2 hour drive to
Madisonville. First, Tracy took us to Hiwassee College,
where he went to school. He enjoyed showing the kids where his
classes were. Since it is summer, there was hardly anyone on
campus. Sarah Beth said, "Daddy, it looks like no one has been here for ages!" LOL Rachel was rather curious, and asked a million questions. My favorite was, "Daddy, where is the playground?" LOL
After
we visited Hiwassee, we went to Terri's house. She and her
husband, Wayne, and their children, Rebecca and Phillip, are so
nice. We also got to meet Phillip's girlfriend, Heather.
They have such a nice family. We've not really spent
much time with them, so we really enjoyed getting to know them.
They have a beautiful home, and it was decorated so pretty for the 4th
of July.
After
we ate steak, potatoes and salad, we went for a ride to Rebecca's
house. I just love her house. She had it decorated so
pretty. While were were there, Phillip climbed up into a tree and
got stuck. (Have you ever seen a guy in his 20's get stuck in a
tree?) Good thing his mom was there to coax him down!

"Come on honey, I'll catch you!"
Next we drove through downtown Madisonville. The Monroe County courthouse was really pretty with the Parade of Flags.
After we drove drove through Madisonville (which doesn't take
long) we went back to Terri's house and shot off fireworks.
The kids (big and small) had fun playing with the
sparklers. Here are some of the most interesting pictures of the sparklers...

We
had so much fun visiting Terri and her family . We appreciate their
hospatility, and look forward to spending time with them again, soon.
