and I am loving it. I just love living in the Smoky Mtns... especially in the Fall. It is my favorite time of the year. I love the changing of the leaves, the cool mornings and nights, the crispness in the air, the pumpkins, hayrides, the smell of outside fires, mums and scarecrows... ahhhh.
I also love this time of the year because that is when all the Fall Festivals begin. This area is so rich in Appalachian Culture. I just love the sights and sounds of the mountain heritage. This weeked we attended the Homecoming Festival at the Robert A. Tino gallery in Sevierville. Our family has been the last several years. It is a highlight of the season and it never seems like Fall for me until we attend the Robert Tino festival.
We actually spend all afternoon there after church on Sunday, enjoying the music, storytellers, games and food. We also enjoy watching all the craft demonstrations, and visiting with people we know. (There was even an Ig family spotting!) I've posted some pictures from our day on my photogallery, if you would like to take a little peak into our day there.
I hope everyone gets a chance to get out with their family and enjoy this beautiful season that God created just for us.
