Simple Fun

Posted in Helpful Websites

Imagine how nice it was to live in a simpler time when some paper dolls, or a bat and ball under the tree would thrill the socks off any kid at CHRISTmas.  This time of the year makes me especially thankful we homeschool because my kids have no idea what a Xbox or iPod is.  And they most definately do not need a cell phone!

I was thinking about that the other day when I came across these cool paperdoll websites where you can print your own paperdolls.

United States Historical Society Paper Dolls

Kristina's Printable Paperdolls
Funorama Paperdolls

Paper Dolls by Lucinda Durbin  - **Be sure to click the Archives link to see all the paperdolls.

So as not to leave out the boys...both big & small... be sure to check out Paper Toys. They have paper toys, models, cut-outs, trains, airplanes, paper party gifts, party hats, motorcyles, buildings.. and everything in between.  This site will provide hours of fun.

So, break out the cardstock, scissors, colored pencils, and glue and have fun!

I totally know what you mean. I am so glad that my kids aren't obsessed with video games and ipod downloads. I remember last year when we went to church the week after Christmas and I listened to the 6th graders talk about their Christmas gifts. It blew my mind how many of them had cell phones.

You and I are thinking alike this year. My Grandma sent money to get the kids books for Christmas and I got Rebekah a book on paper dolls! :) I know that she is going to love it.

Have a Merry Christmas Amy!!

ps. My gift for your stocking would be a studio complete with every prop imaginable and installed lighting. Kinda big for a regular stocking, but just right for a cyber stocking.
