Do you remember...

Posted in Random Ramblings

...Big Hair?  How many of you had big hair?  How many of you STILL have big hair?!  ::snicker, snicker::   For your enjoyment... here is my sophomore high school picture.  (I look like I need a nap.)

Go ahead... laugh... (I know you want to)... but I also know you had big hair, too!  Some of you may have had bigger hair than me!  So, laugh if you must, but I dare you   double dog dare  TRIPLE DOG DARE YOU... to post your big hair pictures.  If you are brave enough, let me know.  I'd love to see them!

The one with the biggest hair wins a prize...

Although, I think this family has everyone else beat... hands down..

DUDE! I have just one question... WHAT WERE WE THINKING?!?!

Oh, BIG hair! Yes I remember. So much hair spray you can't run your fingers through it.
I love your picture. And the big hair family is great too.

Oh my goodness do I remember BIG HAIR !!! I still have the same hair style that I've had since 1993 (loved my grade 9 teachers hair and copied her) that is a little on the big side but not as bad as some of the styles I had. LOL. I will have to see if I can find a real good one to share with you : )

I am guilty of big hair, too! I don't have an online picture to post, though. Let's just say that I am past the days of big hair, pink eye shadow and blue mascara...

Yep, I had big hair too...so I'm laughing with you here. I'm sure there is a picture somewhere to prove it, but I'd rather not find it!

You hair goes along with the jean jacket.

It may not be safe to post pics of big hair. My 6yoDD just saw your pic and she asked for the hair brush. I thought she just wanted to brush her hair. Nope. She said she wanted to fix her hair like yours.

I'll have to find a pic at my mom's tomorrow.

You wanna know something funny. My first memory of you is in General Science freshman year. I remember you as the girl with big hair who sat behind me. I didn't have the big hair that year.

..and I just had to say something. Oh the memories!! I used to spray my hair straight up (I don't know if any of you know Spike from Degrassi when she was in Jr. High, but that's who I modeled my hair after). Of course my hair is so limp now that nothing can get it that big anymore. Thanks for the smile; that family picture was a hoot!

And I thought that I had big hair! That family takes the prize for sure. I don't know if I have any pictures but I will keep on the look out because I know that my high school hair do would definitely be a winner.

I love the snow pictures too. The kids were dying to play in it, but we really did not have any appropriate clothing. That is the bummer about getting snow so seldom.

Hopefully the feeding schedule will allow us to get out tonight. . .I think I am going to go stir crazy if I don't!

HA! You are too funny, AmyBeth!

Actually, I had big BANGS in middle school-- you know the wall o' bangs? :-) I was actually jealous of my big sis b/c she could get bigger, fuller bangs than I could. It takes A LOT of teasing and spray to get very straight asian hair to do that kind of stuff! Oi veh...

BUT I am proud to report that I stopped all the nonsense once I hit 9th grade...even though EVERYONE else still did it. Yup, buckin' the trend...breakin' the law...

Love,
Marsha

PS You know this makes me like you even more... :-) A woman that ain't too proud! hehehee...

I remember that hair because my husband is still in love with it!! LOL He's lost in the 80's! He keeps asking when I'm going to wear it like that again. Haha poor guy the answer's always the same...NEVER. :) Like I would have time now for doing that even if I wanted too. I probably spent and hour every morning and a can of hairspray a day to keep that hair standing tall! LOL

Well I was brave and posted a pic on my blog. Come check it out. :)

That is toooo funny! I would have been so jealous of you! My hair was straight as a pin back then, and heavy. It just refused to get big! So I settled for shaving the sides and back except for 6" "tails" at the bottom, and spiking the whole top. Yep, I was a punker. One time when it was a tad bit longer I had it layered all over and brushed it all forward around my face. All my friends laughed and said I looked like Hawk on Buck Rogers! That style only lasted a few days.

Where did you find that family pic? My dh thought that was the funniest thing he's ever seen.

February 27, 2007 - It's really late , and I am laughing out loud

Posted by mom2fourtreasures

That family picture is so funny. I wonder what that moma was thinking as she sprayed that childs hair into position. Now I am making myself laugh. I bet I have Anne Marie beat. My hair was insanly big. I used Grande Finale to glue ny hair into place, It was all the rage. It would take several washings to come out. It's a wonder I had any hair left at all after the 80's. The amount of back combing was ridiculous. If it didn't take 10 minutes, you didn't go big enough. Hee hee I am laughing again. I have to go look at the family picture again before I sign off tonight. I am concerned I'll have dreams about this..
