Field Trip Factory
Mrs. Brand sent me this in an email today. (Thank your for sharing it.)  If I had your blog URL, I'd link to it. :-D  Anywho,  she sent me this neat website called the Field Trip Factory.

The FTF allows one to book community-based field trips.  Simply type in your zip code to see what field trips are available in your area.

For example, here is a field trip I found  available in my local area:

Healthy children are better students!
Be A Smart Shopper!™ is designed to reinforce the nutrition and healthy lifestyle education curricula taught in schools. At your local Kroger, this field trip encourages students to become passionate
about incorporating health and wellness into their day-to-day lives. Students learn life-skill nutrition lessons in a fun and real-life environment through the use of hands-on activities and discussion.

The FREE Be A Smart Shopper! field trip will help children in grades Pre-K-6 develop and enhance skills in:
  • Healthy living and nutrition
  • Meal planning
  • Economic principles
  • Decision making
  • Careers

Trained tour leaders modify the field trips to be grade appropriate. The field trips are 60-90 minutes in length and are limited to 30 participants per tour – although this number may vary by location.

Trip amenities include:

  • Free samples of healthy foods and beverages.
  • Free student goodie bags with souvenirs from their trip.

Amy Beth,
This sounds like a great field trip for our group. Are you planning anything? I would like to set something up, if you aren't. Let me know.
In Christ,
Geanine
