I can't believe that it has been one month since I last blogged. This last month has really been an emotional roller coaster. But, now that it is all over, I am so glad that I can say that God is good!My dad was in the hospital for three weeks. I really don't want to go into all the details, but we really thought that this was going to be the end for him, that Jesus was going to take him home. We felt that God had been preparing us for that before dad went into the hospital, and had come to terms with that. But I am here to say that prayer changes things... and because of my church family, and fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, my dad is home. It was a true miracle. We honestly didn't believe that he would come home. I guess that God isn't finished with him quite yet.
So, thank you so much to those of you who prayed. I can't tell you how much it meant to me and my family. I still covet your prayers, as my dad still has serious health problems. Just pray that God's will be done.
Let's see... what else... we have four new kittens. They were a week old yesterday. The kids and I were able to witness the birth of two of them. I thought she was done, and we left. When we came back home later that night, there were two more. They are so cute. I will try and post pictures of them.
It is so amazing to me how God instills this natural instinct in animals. My cat, who is less than a year old, never took a birthing class, and she has been such an awesome little mommy! The miracle of life...WOW!
We were able to take a mini camping trip to refresh and rejuvinate. The campground was actually about 10 minutes closer to the hospital, so it didn't take as long to drive and visit my dad. We had such a great time camping. I would live there all summer if I could. I think my favorite part next to sitting by the river all day, is the food! Wow! I love cooking over a camp fire. My family loved it too. They gave my campfire cooking rave reviews! LOL We are going back again in August for a week with some friends. I can't wait for that... only, that will mean that summer will be over.
VBS is coming up soon. I was asked last week if I would be director of the creepers (1-2 yo) class. So, now I am spending time trying to recruit workers... and getting all my material together. We are doing Lifeway's Game Day Central. I think that it will be fun. The nice thing is that I will only have the worker's kids, so there won't be that many in my class. Yah Me!!! I don't think it will be as stressful that way.
Let's see... what else is going on? Have you been watching Dancing w/ the Stars, Idol and LOST? I've been keeping up with all of them. I don't know what I will do now that the seasons are winding down to an end. I think Apolo will win on Dancing, although I'd love to see Laila win. On Idol, I like Blake, but I think Jordin will win. She has an amazing voice for only being 17. Now, for Lost. I know they keep saying that five people will die by the season finale next week. 1st... I don't believe that Locke is dead... 2nd... I just know that Charlie will be one of them to die (according to Spoiler Websites) I thought for sure he was doing to die last week. What a way to tease us!!! 3rd... If they kill my Sawyer, I will quit watching the show!!!! I'll post more on those later on.
ETA: One more thing... what do you think of my music player? Do ya like it? Let me know if it takes too long for the page to load. I've taken off a lot of graphics so the page would load quicker. Does that help any?
Well, I guess that is all for now. I am going to try and get back in the swing of things. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
