October 31, 2005 - A question...

If I change my template I will loose everything correct??? I like my template but I want to change my background. I am thinking about having Kris help me out but...kind of want to do it on my own. Did you see Kris's of Classicaleducation4me's changes on her blog? WOW!! One thing I would like to start with is putting a picture where my title of the blog goes. No time to do that right now but eventually....

I am using one and LOVE it!
Do you take suggestions? I am looking for one with a world theme, geography, travel, that kind of thing. That would be a perfect fit for my flattraveler blog.
I love your site. I've been trying to figure out how to add catagories and stuff to my sidebar like so many of you do. I followed the directions at the Forum, but they didn't work.
Thanks for sharing your incredible talent!

November 1, 2005 - I love the two girls on the beach...

except I'M NOT WHITE! =) I have two black babies, not two white girls. Everything else fits, except that. Can I change the picture at all....?
Also, I hate that I can't take the changes I've made already with me to my new template. Can I possibly save everything to a disk or something then upload it all onto the new template? I would seriously consier changing to that Girls On The Beach template if I could transfer my changes.
I actually came here looking for help with my template and found that yo're the one who makes the new templates for HSB. I would like a new one. There are specific things I want in my side bar. I'm like that other commentor who wanted to do things on her own. I kinda don't want to just let someone else do it I actually want to put the work in and learn while I'm doing it myself, although I need a hand-holding mentor. If that's you, smokymtn, then please e-mail me. Actually, I'll make it easier for you. I'll e-mail you...

November 1, 2005 - Changing Templates

Before changing templates, copy your current template code and save it in Notepad, (Or MS Word.) I always do this before I make ANY changes to my template, that way if I mess it up, I can put it back the way it was.
If you decide to change templates. Save the current one first, then you can just copy and paste items in your sidebar from the old one to the new one.
Hope that helps.

I was just going to e-mail you, but I can do this here...
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll do that, but it seems only a start for me. How do I change that picture? (it's a very nice picture, but doesn't really reflect me, if you know what I mean)

Just posting a big THANK YOU!!!! You're so sweet to help me out like that. I really needed it. Y'all can just visit my *new* blog to see what I'm talking about. Amy fixed it up for me. It may not look like much was done, but it would've kept me up many lat nights trying to change everything from my old template to the new one. She's such a doll! Thanks again!
