No tears in heaven...
Posted in Random Ramblings
I just want to know, how can there possibly be no tears in heaven? Tonight dh and I went to Judgement House at church. The last scene depicts Jesus welcoming His people to heaven. I was just standing there bawling my eyes out. (Let me just say this right now, I am a crier.) Anyway, I am standing there in anticipation of 'Jesus' coming to speak to me. He went to every person, put his hands on their shoulders, looked right into their eyes and said, "Welcome. I know the road has been long and at times it has been hard. But you fought a good race. Welcome my good and faithful servant. Great is your reward. Welcome home."
Ok, now I am just getting goosebumps thinking about now. How can there possibly be no tears in heaven? How can there not be tears of joy? Unless He wipes away the tears for the last time.
Just some random thoughts...

love that song, and agree with it!
AmyBeth, i think that Scripture is referring to unhappy tears...there will be no grief, sadness, etc. I'm sure there will be tons of tears of joy!

I guess I never really thought of it that way! And I also imagine that I would get teary-eyed singing songs of worship and praise up there as well.

I didn't stop and go look this up, but isn't in the New Heaven where there are no tears? Not until the end of time when God creates a new heaven and earth will there be an end of tears. Please, correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks, deb

One of the many things we won't understand until we get there.

what you mean! That scene really got to me too. Especially when he reached down to my daughter and said something like "I know you had to come early, but you were faithful to me while on earth. Well done!" I lost it! I'm glad you enjoyed your Judgement House experience!
BTW...thanks for stopping by my blog. I've got more pictures posted now from our day on the BR Parkway. Come on back! :o)

Being a cryer too, I can't imagine not crying tears of joy when I am face to face with my Jesus and when I see loved ones who have gone before; like my dad.
