It has been awhile...
Posted in Random Ramblings
...but at least it has not been a month! lol I have been staying busy here at My Smoky Mtn. Homeschool. It is a good busy, though. I have been spending time with my family. We have taken up the
hobby of
letterboxing. (I know of a
couple of families in the area that are doing this, too.) We have had so much fun
doing this. (I'll try and post some pictures soon.) After we find all the boxes in our area we are doing to start planting our own. We already have a list of places we are going to plant the boxes.
I have also been busy the last couple of weeks with
photo sessions. I am so excited to FINALLY be doing this! I met with a super nice family this morning from SC. We took pictures at Metcalf Bottoms and the Little Greenbrier School. It was such a beautiful morning. The leaves have finally changed!
Mom and Dad are still staying with us. We are so thankful that they are here with us. It is really a blessing. Dad is doing well in his recover. In closing, I want to tell you something funny that happened to dad the other day.
Dad went to get his hair cut and he noticed that as the girl was cutting his hair she was looking all around. She kept on for a few minutes and finally she said, "Do you hear that noise?" Dad said, "What does it sound like?" She said, "It is like a ticking noise." Dad could see that it was absolutely driving her insane. He just laughed and said, "It is my heart. I had valve replacements!" ROTFLOL. That just cracks me up.
Gotta fly... have a blessed day!

Hi AmyBeth!
I am so glad that y'all are doing well and that you have the blessed opportunity to grow closer to your parents.
I am totally laughing about the ticking! My dad likes to play a trick on my boys with his hearing aid. He'll either do the "my ear is whistling" or "my hand is whistling" trick on them. The ear one is the best because no matter how hard they try, the boys just cannot figure out how to make their own ears whistle!
Stay warm, my dear friend. Whenever I see beautiful leaves, I think of you and our great trip to the Smoky Mtns. The boys still think that was the BEST vacay EVER!
Love,
Marsha

Letterboxing is addictive. Jimmy asked me to look and see if they had any down in FL. So, when we go he can go find them.
Glad to hear you got some customers for your picture business. I was telling DH about that the other day. He said it sounded like a great idea. Good luck!
That story about your Dad is funny. The kids asked me what I was laughing for. I would prob be looking around also.
Take care! Happy Thanksgiving..coming up fast!

Glad to see you're back. I'm glad your dad is doing well. It's great you are getting some photo shoots, too!
The yearbook looks great. Thanks for all of your help!! If you want to purchase one, we still have some. James can bring it by the church library sometime. Just let me know if you want one.

I've heard of letterboxing, but have never tried it. Sounds like a lot of fun. The story of your dad is funny - I'm glad he can laugh about it.

What a hilarious story!! Glad there are some chuckles for your Dad as he recovers. I'm so glad, too, that he is doing so well and that your parents are with you. I know this must be such a blessing for you all.
Thank you for the sweet birthday "song"!! That was so nice of you! I had a great day.
God bless you ~ Julie

I am so glad to found your website! It is so refreshing... I just love black bears, my kitchen is done in them...
We are a letterboxing family and were just in your neck of the woods last weekend... I did take some of the pigeon forge clues along, but we didn't have any time to go hunting!! We were there for 2 weddings and family time!
I'll be back to see how things are going!
