T.G.I.F.

Posted in Random Ramblings

I am so glad this week is almost over.  It has been a 'Calgon' week.  Have you ever had one of those?  Just one stressful moment after another.   To top things off, I am having MAJOR computer problems.  It seems I have several nasty viruses and all kinds of Ad-ware junk on my computer.   I thought I was going to lose all of my pictures and documents (the thought still makes me sick). Especially my pictures.  I haven't backed them up since March (yes, I know, you are wondering what is wrong with me?!  I am always preaching to my mom about backing up her pics.)  Anyway, luckily, the very nice lady from Dell tech-support helped me repair my Windows. (BTW, did you know that the Dell TS is located in India!?)  So, I am in the process of backing up all my pictures and documents.  I was able to transfer my favortites from Internet Explorer to MSN Explorer with the click of one button.  Thank you Bill Gates!

So, here I sit, once again, running Norton and Ad-a-ware, praying it gets all the junk off my computer so that I don't have to reformat my hard drive.  (It is looking like something I'm not going to be able to avoid.)  I've only had my laptop a year.  I guess I've done pretty good to make it this long.

My dh just came in and put on a Barry Manilow album.  Now I am sure at this moment that you are laughing for 1 of 3 reasons:

1.  That we have an album & a record player (or you are asking yourself what that is.)

2.  That I am listening to Barry Manilow (and enjoying it VERY much.)  Suddenly, I feel very relaxed.

3.  That I admitted I am listening to Barry.

Well, I don't mind to admit it.  We are Barry Manilow fans.   Dh & I even went and saw him in Cincinnati a few years ago.  He is a very talented musician who puts on a great show.  Since I suddenly feel the urge to bare my soul, I'll even admit I am the proud owner of the Barry Manilow CD Box Set.  There, I said it!

So, let me hear from the other Barry fans out there.  (We can start a support group... uh.. I mean a fan club!)  Come on, I know your out there.  You know who you are.  The ones who get excited when you hear the first few chords of Mandy.  You dance widly around the living room to Copa Cabana, and imagine you are driving a VW Bug along the CA Coast when you hear Ready to Take a Chance Again.  So, come on and fess up!  You won't be alone.
