Here today...gone today

Posted in Photo Album

That is what happens when it snows in East TN.  The snow is here in the morning, but gone by the afternoon.  I was able to snap a few pictures before it melted.

This is my back yard.

We even drove up to Sugarland Visitor Center to see the snow.

Here are some pictures from the Gatlinburg Overlook.

This is near the Park enterance.

One son made a small snowman and he's still around. The other one made a "snow missile"....not really sure where he got the idea, maybe just because he kept packing on snow in a pile and had to call it something! ha Love the East TN weather though.

David says you are cruel. I agree. You are a cruel woman, Amy Beth.

Posting beautiful pics of your breathtaking backyard is just mean...especially since it was 70 here today and no chance of snow (go figure!). Can't we just annex TN so it can be a part of TX???

Love ya,
Marsha

That's one thing I love about the south. Snows just long enough to enjoy it and then it's gone!

You have BEAUTIFUL blogsites!
Well I got to see what snow looks like in eastern Tenn. now.
If a Vermonter even TALKS about snow, even on e-mail, you may get some....
(just kidding) Even an out-of-state transplant ("flatlander") like myself.
What a beautiful gift of God's you got with the snow.
You could read Snowflake Bentley.
From that thick blooded, German-Irish (and a few other things) woman in VT:
Allison C.
p.s. I have the Created...Helpmeet book, too.

It is gorgeous. We live in the Idaho panhandle and it is green as can be. We had snow for 3 weeks in December and then it melted 2 days before Christmas. We are waiting for more snow so we can go sledding. Thank goodness there is still snow on the mountains so we are going snowboarding for my daughter's birthday next Friday.
