The Smell Is In the Air

Posted in Random Ramblings

Yes, it is. Can you smell it?  That wonderful smell of a fresh opened box of crayons, or better yet the smell of those little pink erasers.  AHHHHH. What about the feel of those crisp new spiral notebooks just waiting for ideas and doodles to be composed on them? And who can forget the new bottles of Elmer's glue and boxes of new pencils?   Not me!  I won't forget anything!  What about my absoulte favorite, stick notes.  One cannot leave the store wihout a new pack (or two, or three) of sticky notes! Have you seen all the kinds of sticky notes they have out now?  Forget the plain square yellow ones.  They have such a variety of colors, shapes and sizes.  There are more kinds of sticky notes that I can ever imagine.  And have you seen the highlighter pens with the sticky notes on them?!  Oh, my.  Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined that!  I have to buy them.  They are just calling me to take them home and stick them all over my house and van.

Ever since I was a kid I always get excited for the new school year.  Even after I graduated high school, I'd find myself wondering down the school supply aisle drooling over the newest pens, notebooks, folders, and sticky notes.  Now that my own children are in school, I shall make sure they have an overflowing supply of school supplies. All the pens, pencils, colored pencils, paint, glue, crayons, scissors, paper, notebooks, folders and cool gadgets they'd ever want.   Thank you to WalMart, K-Mart & Big Lots for putting out your school supplies in July so that we, with a school supply fetish, may have plenty of time to dream and stock up!

I love school supplies!

But, I must say...You've been tagged! Please answer the questions in your blog and tag 5 more people.

Q:What is your absolute favorite book?

Q:What is your favorite book to have read to you?

Q:Have you ever started writing a book and not finished?

Q:If so, what was it about?

Q:Today, if you were to write a book (assuming you had the time), what would it be about? (If you've already written a book, what do you dream of writing about one day?)
