I Believe to Teach a Child Is to Touch God
Oct. 29, 2008 - My name is Donna...

In case you're reading what came before, I was responding to my dear friend, Heidemarie, from Hattingspruitt, South Africa. She's a newfound author and feels like she's getting ready to give birth!!! Her incredible book is about a family that travels safari-style from continent to continent. The first of the series is called Continental Hop: Africa. The Stephenson family heads to Australia next.

Oh Donna.
Without you I would never have taken this huge step, and I've had so much fun doing it. Remembering all the stories we experienced, and friends have told us, and being able to share those memories with my children and others. Yes, it has been fun.
The book is a lapbook which your child can later use as a field guide to African animals. Then there are other educational activities included for younger children and a very fun board game for everyone. Not forgetting anecdotes about African travels along the way.

I create curriculum materials for homeschool families. It's a very fulfilling job, but I long for more personal contact. In this blog, I hope to communicate with women who are working diligently to provide their children with the best education possible. I want to learn, and I want to be of any assistance that I can. I crave fellowship. :-)
