NO TV MONTH

Posted in Family Life

I have been posting on my other blog about things to do instead of watch tv or play video games during TV-Free Month, which we are doing for the month of August.  You can read them at www.nclighthousekeeper.blogspot.com

I have been trying to decide what to do with this blog. I started blogging on blogspot when homeschoolblogger was having such server problems last spring and I couldn't access this blog.  But now that the problems are fixed, I hate to give this one up. There are things I like about both sites. And I have over 2 years worth of entries here.

I thought about dedicating this one to homeschooling and the other to family life ~ but how do I divide those two? They are intertwined!  Any other ideas?

Good luck with No-TV Month. We'v been without TV for a while now and absolutely love it!

Oh, and an idea for you double blog dilemma: copy and paste. That's what I do. I write one article and copy and paste it to both. and everyone's happy.

Tuesday, August 14, 2007 - field trip to nuclear power plant

Posted by Anonymous
Hi Beth,
I saw on the NC Bloggers that you included the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant on your list of great places to visit in NC. I'm trying to figure out how to organize a trip to visit that plant this year, and I'd appreciate any and all related insights you'd be willing to share. I've also heard that there's a plant near Charlotte that has a good visitor center, but that would be farther away for us. Please e-mail me at mrgrandall@netzero.com. Thanks!
