I was a chaperone tonight for Coffee House at our church. Every Friday night in the winter, our Youth Room is a Coffee House, with coffee, soda, and snacks for sale and a live band. The youth room has 2 pool tables, 2 ping pong tables, carpetball, air hockey, and foosball, so there is a lot for the kids to do. Tonight, the band was "Under Construction", our own youth praise band. Sarah plays keyboard and sings, and Eric is learning to work the sound board. About 20 teens from our homeschool support group came tonight for our monthly social gathering as well. Everyone seemed to have fun. The band was a tad loud for my taste, and I couldn't understand all the words ( BOY, do I sound old! I guess the hearing gets more sensitive with the years....) My "job" was Game Security, which basically is just making sure the kids don't get overzealous with the pool cues or carpet balls! Not much to do but sit and watch people.
Well, I should get to bed. Tomorrow we have 5 basketball games ~ 2 for Sarah (9:00 AM and 4:30 PM), 2 for Eric (11:30 AM and 3:15 PM), and 1 for Jason ( 1:00 PM). Lighthouse, Fayetteville, and Cabarrus homeschool teams are all playing at Franklin Academy tomorrow. Cabarrus comes from about 3 hours away, and decided to play 2 teams in one day instead of making 2 trips out here. Pretty smart.
