BIFOCALS?!

Posted in Family Life

Yup, it's true.  I went to the eye doctor yesterday, and definitely need new glasses.  My astigmatism and far-sightedness have gotten slightly worse, and it is time for ..... bifocals.

Or to be more accurate, no-line variable lenses ~ instead of just 2 prescriptions, one for near and another for far, the lenses gradually change so that there is a mid-range as well.  I also have sun-damage to my eyes so the doctor recommended transition lenses which darken when in the sun.... but they don't work when driving because you are actually inside ( the car! ), so I also need sunglasses. I opted for clip ons instead of a separate pair of prescription sunglasses.

cha-ching  $$$$$$$

Mom is probably having a good laugh,

because she told me a while back that I was turning into her!   And she was .... my age... when she got her first pair of bifocals.  What's next?

What's next? Well.... I'd tell but then everyone would know how much older I am than you!!! At least we have the doctors who can keep us from going blind - a real praise since I had two older relatives who almost went blind in older ages because they never had the means to see an eye doctor.

Welcome to the club! I have had them since High School! Just don't start dyeing your hair blue and you should be alright. :)
