The Members:

Poetic Maiden

Cherise, the head coordinator of this blog, is a dreamy young teenager with long, flowing brown hair, who loves writing poetry, drawing, and hiking in the Colorado Rocky Mountains whenever she is not busy working on her first novel, The Prophet of Einehrowaye. NaNo '08 was Cherise's first NaNoWriMo, and her fantasy novel finished the month with 68,500 words. Visit Cherise's regular blog here.

Cherise's NaNoWriMo username is 'FaerynPoetess', and you can view her NaNo profile here.

Vintage Authoress

Katie is a very non-normal, geeky teen girl (and proud of it!) who enjoys sitting on a swing listening to Enya and Blackmore's Night on her iPod while daydreaming about her story, to almost every other activity, and practically lives on her tree swing. She also enjoys wandering around her back yard in a medieval gown, and visiting her Aunt and Uncle's ranch in Hanaskea/Eternethia (aka Missouri).

Queen Flora

If it began to rain in the midst of me typing this, I'd jump out of my chair in mid sentence and forget about everything as I would instantly be pulled into my imagination, lost somewhere no doubt. I'd run barefoot into the grass and tilt my head upwards as the fresh rain poured down soaking my hair and cloths. I'd take a deep breath of the wet grassy scent and instantly loose track of all time. That's me through and through, so even when I'm not writing my story, I'm always imagining or day dreaming about it. To know more about me come to my blog click here.

Writer4him

Photobucket

When she's not blogging and template-making, Beth enjoys losing herself in any of her novels in progress. She discovered NaNoWriMo in 2007 and was quite happy to make it to 50,000 words by the end of November, with a final word count of...50,003! Other interests include horseback riding, web design, and friendly debates over the Civil War.

Visit Beth's blog here.

Mariella1214

Mariella needs a life other than writing. She's written 3 novels, is working on a fourth, planning her NaNovel for this year, and dreading editing the second, because it just got way too long. She has participated in NaNo 2007 and won, with about 59,000 words. When she's not actually writing, she's fuming because her FictionPress readers died on her, planning more stories/brainstorming about the latest chapter she has to write, daydreaming, panicking about global warming, practicing piano, and listening to music. She keeps pen pals.

Ariana Evenstar

Meggy T/Ariana Evenstar is your average homeschooling freaky 16 year old! She has 9 little siblings, and her real stuff (blood, excitement, elves, emotional trauma, and happy endings)comes out when she's writing fantasy. This is her first time to participate in NaNoWriMo, and she's very excited about it! Check out her blog here

Ness

Photobucket

I like to climb trees that people tell me are too weak; I like climb them to the very top and sit on the branches that people say won't hold me and I like to sit up in a tree while there is a strong wind blowing (strong enough that people say I will fall out:) and that's me. I don't want to fill out any tags (not that anyone tagged me) I might next month and If you're wondering what I've been doing today, well I've been sitting in the topmost branches of a tree...

Forestcrazy

Svenja comes up with her best ideas when she is supposed to be doing math but is instead staring out the window. This also happens in front of her friends, in public, etc. when her brain sees something that inspires the creative cells to brainstorm. During these times, and other frequent random times, her friends make fun of her and say she lives in another world. Its name is Draeil.

MaidenCapitolaBallot

Capitola, which is not her real name, is very strange 21-year-old. When not found in front of her conputer busily typing away you can usually find her with her nose in a book or riding her bike around town watching people. She feels that the most important thing for a good book is believable characters and so watchs those around her dor insperation. She has a new saying, "If you don't want to end up in one of my books I sugest you avoid me!"

She has been known to yell at her computer while writing and becoming disgusted with certain characters when they take on lives of their own and do things without her permission. All those who know her think she is very weird.

She gets her inspiration for books from books she reads, movies, daily life, certain people, or just from something that popped into her head. She lives in Wyoming and feels that wild wind offers the best inspiration, she can sit for hours, staring into the wind. A daydreamer and adventurer, she lives in her own world and only comes out for occasional visits.

This is her first NaNoWriMo, though not her first tale.

Altariel

Gabrielle, aka Altariel aka ElvishKiwi, has dabbled in fantasy, historical fiction and fanfiction, as well as penning several rants so long they could be classified as books on their own. She finds sordid pleasure in writing extreme angst, and considers nothing greater compliment to her writing than making her readers bawl hysterically.

She takes great delight in writing elephantine comments, raving about her country, chatting online and flitting from one writing project to another like a frazzled homeschooling mother trying to supervise seven kids at once. Which is, incidentally, a situation she witnesses every day.

She has begun countless novels in the past, but in every case seems to have become stuck somewhere around the 30,000 word mark, and simultaneously been inspired with some new plot which really won't leave her alone. Hence, despite a total novel wordcount of hundreds of thousands, she has only actually completed one of the things. She is hoping NaNo will pull her into line...

This will be her first NaNo. She is eagerly looking forward to it, as she is convinced that she thrives on pressure like a bicycle tyre.

Hannah

Photobucket Hannah is a thirteen year old, homeschooled young lady who enjoys many varied things that mostly revolve around The Arts. Her main passion (that and drawing) would have to be writing fantasy novels.
When she is not writing, you can find her, drawing. singing, dancing, blogging, emailing, chatting, editing html or graphic designing on the computer, reading voraciously, dreaming and thinking, laughing, and loving Christ, her family & friends, and the family computer (:P).
Currently, she is working on her Fantasy novel entitled Whispers of Truth, and is putting together several other plot ideas. Inspiration comes easily to her, and from practically anything, yet she does not know yet how to completely harness it.

You can find her on NaNo here, as well as on her blog, situated here.

Laura Comfort

Laura is a sixteen year old strange young woman who loves to serve her Lord, write books, and listen to music. Yes, in that order. Laura is not tall and yet not too short, has dark brown hair that reaches down to the bottom of her shoulder blades, and has the weirdest eyes ever. Mostly they are blue-grey, but then sometimes they will turn blue-green, and when Laura really gets mad they turn silvery-blue. She is currently writing two novels, Way Truth Life and Danceaway. This is Laura’s first NaNoWriMo, and her novel is currently titled “Dorin”. Laura’s other interests include blogging, talking with friends, drinking coffee and hot tea, and being with her family. Not in that order. Laura is also morbidly fascinated with thunderstorms. She has eight younger siblings, one in heaven and seven on earth. Laura tends to be rather sarcastic, mysterious, weird (obviously), and shy. She is also extremely cynical and is more likely to not believe something than to believe it. She has a Muse, named Arual, who delights in driving Laura batty whenever Laura tries to procrastinate with her writing.

Hi Everyone

~alizona here. Cherise said I have to write an introductory post, so here I am!

Well, let's see... I think most of you know me... well, know OF me, at least. I participated in February Madness, but this is my first NaNo. I'm 15 years old and desire to love the Lord my God with all my heart, soul, strength, and mind. He has been so wonderful to me, and I want to serve him with my whole life. I have three younger sisters, and live in the desert. And I love to write. Oh yeah, and I'm homeschooled, too. (Okay, sorry, I'll cut the unnecessary info.) I play the violin and have one student, besides teaching two of my sisters. I also play the piano, and enjoy crocheting on occasion. For less than a week now, I've been working on tennis. And I survived Algebra. Both of them. In fact, I LOVED both Algebra 1 and 2. I guess that's all you really need to know about me right now.

My NaNo novel is a book that I actually started writing a couple years ago, but it died on me. So now I am completely re-writing it. I didn't even go back and read through it. And, as it turns out, the way it has twisted around in just one week, no one would know it was even the same book, except that one of the character's names is the same. Sorry, I'm not telling what it's about yet, because... well... I'm still working on my plot. Pretty much making it up as I go along. It will be cool to see what I have at the end of the month! I'm sure of one thing, it will be nothing close to what I started with.

Well, I've made it through week 1 just fine, and I'm anticipating the rest of the month with excitement and a little trepidation.  We'll see how it goes!

Introducing... Narniagirl

Well, hello! I'm Narniagirl, also known as Kylie. This is my first year doing NaNo, but I've been a writer much longer than that. I'm a servant of my King, and I love using my pen (or keyboard) to glorify Him.

My love for writing started early on. The first story I wrote at age 5, about a group of cats and dogs who found a castle in the sky. It just went on from there. It's only recently that I've started taking writing seriously, and I have many stories waiting to be finished. My main project right now is a fantasy novel about a girl who makes several unexpected discoveries that completely change her life. It's the longest project I've stuck to and I plan to see this storyline through to the end. When I'm not working on that, I write articles for several sites I manage and/or contribute to.

Despite my inclination towards fantasy, the book I'll be working on during NaNo is pretty different. It's about a young teen, Shae, who also makes several surprising discoveries. She is the daughter of an uber-famous movie star, but then she finds out that she is not who she thinks she is. Life seems so empty, but can she possibly find the answers amidst this confusing mess she's been thrown into?

It's going to be...interesting, to say the least. God will be the focus of this book, and I'm hoping that this book will seem deeper than most others written for teens. I'm actually not doing the adult NaNo, but I decided to start small and do their Young Writer's Program. My word count goal is 25,000.

I'm excited about setting off on this journey, and I can't wait to hear from you!
~Kylie/Narniagirl

Boy, has it really been THAT long since I posted?!

Well, I do appologize for my absence. School has a habit of ... kidnapping me, shall we say. All is well on the NaNo front with less than a week before the long awaited opening day of NaNo. I am very excited, and sad. Alas I had to leave my idea for my book "Ghost Hunter" to the wayward side because, well, I started it. There, I said it. I was so excited about doing NaNo I began writing and then didn't stop until I realized what I had done. So, I'm switching gears to a new book. It spins off of a series I started a little over a year ago, and into a new series that I created not more than six months ago. Never fear, I will post much of my chapters and such, hey that rhymed! Ahem, on here. The new name for my book is called "Attack from the Skies" and is a WWII era style book, packed with explosions, actions and faith. I am really really really excited for NaNo!!!

Phil,

P.S. Do you need me to send you a bio Cherise?

What to do, oh, what to do...

Laura here.  First off, I thought I would be nice and update this blog instead of posting this on the forums.  Although I'll probably get more comments on the forums...*ponders*

Anyway, I told you ppls that I was writing a book called "Second Dimension" for my NaNo novel.  Well, I recently came up with a new plot for a book.  I do not want  to write this for my NaNo book, and therefore I am wildly protesting and arguing with my Muse, Arual.  (random: who out there actually likes their muse?  Meh.)  I cannot get this idea out of my head, indeed it has been growing on me and I am starting to almost like it.  BUT I NEED TO WRITE SECOND DIMENSION FOR MY NANOWRIMO BOOK!!!!!!!!  *flails*  So I am just writing an outline for this idea of mine, then I was going to write it after NaNo.
But here is my problem:
What if I get inspired for this other book while doing NaNo?  I refuse to write it for NaNo, so that is not an option.

What to do?  Can I still work on it during Nano?  or is wroking on two different books not allowed?  Help, please!!!

~Laura

Well....

Hello, all you lovely Wrimos!  I'm so glad to see that you have been following my instructions and posting!!  Unfortunately I have not gotten time to read all of them (shameful moderator that I am), but rest assured I have seen them!

I have come to announce that it is October.  Hopefully you knew that already.

We have approximately 3 weeks until NaNoWriMo!!!  Ack!!

As for me, I know that I am woefully behind in my planning, and unless some major action is taken in the next few days.... well, I don't like to think of where I'll be in November.

But anyways, I have posted to say this:

I have started cleaning out the forums, and we now have a separate section just for this year!  Which means that yes, you may go back to the forums now.

Please, visit them.  Post something.  If you can figure out what on earth to post about, look in the archive section at the bottom.  You're sure to find plenty of ideas there.

For you veterans, remember all the fun we had on there last year?  For me, those wildly enthusiastic discussions beforehand were part of what made NaNoWriMo so special.

You have no excuse.  Go visit the forums and post.  I will be checking them periodically today, and if I find any new posts I will be sure to reply!

I have been a horrible moderator, and I apologize.  I'll try to post again sometime in the next week.  Sound good?

Good luck on your planning!

Suddenly a shot rang out

I hope I am doing this right, I don't really remember how it works. You can rebuke me if I messed things up. :D
Anyways, I am going to try and do NaNo this year, though I doubt I shall have time. However, I have come with this tiny problem-I have no plot. I do have a very sketchy outline-like two sentances long, but I was wondering if anyone would mind throwing in ideas that I can think about? If you would rather not then I will not draw my sword on you.
 Heather

 Plot outline.
A aged king on his death bed. His three living sons fighting for the throne. They will do whatever it takes to get the crown-even if it means killing a helpless little boy-who is found to be the true heir to the throne-the heir their father chose over them. When the people learn of the boy and the reasons the king chose him they hurry to him and take him from the castle. Now the boy finds himself in the care of two unruly cousins and their guide.
However, when the brothers learn who has the boy, they set out to find him-determining to kill all who dare stand in their path. Can the people keep the rightful heir alive long enough for him to reach manhood?

Peoples!!

OK, if there is anyone around here who hasn't noticed, this blog is dead.  And another fact: it's SEPTEMBER!!  We have less than two months before NaNoWriMo!!  This is not good.

So I'll tell you what I'll do: as your moderator, I order you to post.

Yes, post.

Post about why you're doing NaNo this year.  Post about how you feel about it.  Post about whatever fragments of a plot you have so far.

Anyone who does so before the end of the month will get a cool little writing icon, saying you belong in the group.

Sound good?

Just to make sure everyone sees this, I'm going to pin it at the top.

Here's a list of the people doing NaNo this year (that we know of):

 - Katie
 - Molly
 - Mariella
 - Cherise
 - Pip
 - Beth
 - Heather
 - Phil
 - Laura
 - Jane
 - prolife1

Any others shall be added when I figure out if they're doing NaNo or not.  (Please message me if you are and your name's not on the list.)

So get to work, Wrimos!

Introducing ~ Miss Eyebright

Hello!

Well, you all know that I'm a writer, so I suppose I can dispense with the obvious.  Now that we have established that, I can tell you what kind of writer I am.  Do you really want to know?  I'm a lazy, ignorant, fickle, inconstant writer.  I generally don't care for research, I don't know a lot to begin with, and I rarely ever stick with a project long enough to finish it.  It's sad, I know.  Despite all of this, I still have great hopes of becoming, if not a famous at least an established, authoress.  Perhaps participating in NaNoWriMo will help push me towards that dream.

I like to think that I enjoy writing in several different genres, but I don't feel that my stories fit the stereotypes that people place on those genres.  If I write in fantasy, I seldom have mythical creatures or magic in it.  I like to write fantasy simply because I don't have to hold myself within the confines of history or geography.

Despite saying that, I am still interested in writing historical fiction, or what could be called realistic fiction.  I have a couple stories that feel like they could be in a real place or time, but do not actually say when or where the tale takes place.  Again, this is so that I don't have to be confined to details.  I told you I was lazy, didn't I?  I do research somethings, for instance, vintage toasters, and someday I would like to write a true historical fiction book, but for now I'm content.

Another "someday" for me, is to write a Christian science fiction novel.  I don't have any plans for one right now; I simply look forward to putting that on the agenda sometime in the future.  (Pun possibly intended)

As to my personal self, being unrelated to my writing self, I enjoy many diverse hobbies.  Crocheting, reading, blogging, sewing, photography, and traveling, to name a few.  I may be one of the only people you know who gets thrilled about knitting, to the point of loosing sleep.  I am a perfectionist, a part-time purist (no fruits & veggies in my jello, please!), a mess-maker, an organizer, an older and oldest sister, bossy, indecisive, impetuous, and probably many other things as well.

Finally, if you want to get to know my better, in spite of all of this, you can read my blog,
Defective Compositions.  I post irregularly almost every week, so be sure to stop by often.  If I'm not there, I'm probably up in my attic bedroom knitting furiously.

Greetings from an Insane Authoress

Hello! I'm Arianna Joy! I have two alter-egos! Patience and Christy!

About us:

I am a 16 yr-old authoress who has always loved to write, act and play. I am very outgoing and childish. I write fantasy, sci-fi and some of the time, realistic fiction. I wear dresses all the time. The only time I wear pants is when I just need to wear pants.  I wear blue reading glasses only when I'm writing, reading, or on the computer. I am 1 of a family of 5. I have a very creative family, and I am proud to have such a family!

Christy's my "mean" Alter-ego. She's a time traveling superhero! She is called the Mountain Devil. She chronicles the life of the Cougar!  She's the part of me who likes to play games, watch movies, and read books!  Christy is sweet only when she wants to be..........

Patience is my calm, reserved self. She thinks everything over and decides on the right thing to do, though Christy steers me out of doing the right thing, Patience helps me to learn ways to calm myself. She is everything good inside of me! I write to her everyday and she replies inside my head. Thank you, Patience for being there for me!

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Welp, that is my introduction! Nice to be here in NaNoWriMo! Thanks for reading!

Dia duit

Hello, my (soon to be) dear friends! My name is Hannah, and I am new to NaNoWriMo, as well as being new to the HSB NaNoWrimo Lounge. But I am eagerly anticipating the former, and am glad to be part of the latter.

A little about myself...

(I shall write this in third person, because it is more fun that way. Pretend that it is a novel, and I am describing a character. Also, it will be in past tense).

The sun gently caressed the pale blue sky as it prepared to journey into it's everpresent sleep during the blackness of twilight. From behind a slender birch tree, a maiden not yet fifteen stepped out, her pale skin gleaming in the ever fading light. Sandy brown hair with slight waves spilled around her face and down past her shoulders; pinned atop her head were long bangs. Even in the dimness, one could make out her gray blue eyes and the black lashes that framed them. Her face was between round and oval, and she was in the transition stage from girl to woman. She smiled and lifted her hand to you, beckoning you to come closer, saying hello without words.

Hope that was okay...:)

Anyways, I don't blog on HSB, but on blogger, and you can get to my blog by looking at the "about me" part about me. :D (I'm going ot be changing that, just so all of you, know. Right now it's a rough draft. I've been tired lately because I just returned from a nine day road trip with my grandparents and sister).

Also, here's what I say about myself on my blogger profile: (just to give you a clearer look of myself)

You will find me writing crazily in my notebook in one moment, and then in the next, my page is covered in drawings. I will start singing and then began dancing to the music. Thoughts often leading to dreaming, dreaming to poetry. Playing the piano loudly, powerfully, till it beats in my soul. Designing graphics, making them meld together into a blend. Laughing till my sides hurt. Crying nostalgically. Feeling raw emotions pound in my spirit. Praising the King of Kings. I am a Christian, and every day I am getting closer to who I was created to be. I aspire to be the maiden I was created as. I will, and continue to. This is who I am, and this is who I shall be. And never, shall I stop praising my God, my King.

Now about my novel...

I've never actually finished a novel, nor written down a plot, but I did for this one. I forced myself to sit down one night and write out a plot for a novel, which I did, and which is now entitled Whispers of Truth. (click the name to go to my nano profile to read about it).

Oh, dear...completely lost my train of thought. Happens often, especially when I'm tired. *laughs* Well, it'll come around soon, or someday, or somewhere over the rainbow, and when it does, I'll see if it's worth mentioning.

Farwell until then, my dear friends. (All of you already seem like dear friends...(:)

 Photobucket

PS The title is Irish for God to you, which I looked up. I wanted a meaningful title, and one that would have however looking at this, stop and read it. :)

I am the author of lots of storys, and if you go to my blog(under hersheylover12), and go to life as a writer, you will see only a small amount of my many storys. But I am boring you with this chatter about blogs and such, so lets move on...to something about me!

The book I am going to be writing, is still very dissy...in my case, its hard to know how it will end, and how it will start, but I can tell you somthing, it is a Fantasy book...infact my first one! This is also the first time doign NaNo!

Well I better go, and leave room for everyone else who wants to tell ya 'bout them selfs!

*peers in nervously*

Hallo, my fellow writers.  *shy grin*  I am Laura.  Laura C. Wylde, to be exact.  *clears her throat and wonders what else there is to say* Don't worry, I'll probably start ranting soon and then I'll never shuddup.
Um.  Let me see.
This is my first year doing NaNoWriMo.  I considered it last year, but since I learned what it was only about a week before it started, I decided to skip and wait for next year.  And it is upon me sooner than I thought it would be!
Did I mention that I am extremely sarcastic at times, quite dramatic at other times, wild and insane sometimes, quite and shy around other peoples or when I am in a new or scary situation, and a snarly old ranting crank?  Yup.
What else should you know about me....
Oh.  I have to be secretive, for reasons of my own.  You cannot view my profile or anything I post on my blog unless you're a friend, and I can only add certain peoples to my friends list.  Maybe someday I can explain all the secrets.  For now just accept me as who I am, please.
*snickers* Something I can tell you is that not only are Pip and I sisters, but we have met each other in Real Life.  Run if you know what's good for you.
When it comes to writing, dare I say that Pip and I are somewhat alike?  I write a lot about the War Between Goodness and Evilness, and my Villains are insanely Evil.  *rolls eyes*  Whoopdeedoo, righto?  I have a squirrel character named Chipper, so if you see a lil' weirdo squeaking in the chatroom, that's him.
Oh, and if I do add you as a friend and you see that my location is United Kingdom, do not go freaking out.  I am NOT British, but because I didn't want to put my Real location I decided that the UN was coolio.
Let me see...*drums her fingers on the table*
I cannot think of anything else to write about, so I shall end your misery and depart!

Oh, and I am not spilling any secrets about my plot yet.  *smirks wildly and runs off*

God bless!
~Laura C.~

Hi, it's Me. Bluejane

It wasn't until after I said it that I realized a phrase like, "Mother I've just done the craziest thing I've ever done before," could worry so mentioned Mother. The look she gave me helped that realization to come. I quickly put her mind at ease. "I signed up for NaNoWriMo."

Last year I discovered NaNo a week before Nov. 1st. Although my wild side really thought about doing it, my reasonable side won through and I decided to wait till 2009.

The other day I sat up in bed and realized there are only two short months till National Novel Writing Month, and I had no idea what my novel was going to be about. I searched my mind knowing that over the past year I had come up with several ideas, and I finally remembered one that I decided I would use.

I'm horrible at coming up with names, so none of my work gets dubbed till after it's done. So my manuscript shall remain nameless. I can however tell you what it's about.

Set in a poor country (nameless as of yet *grin*) it's about a man who raises the child outcasts. The boys that nobody wanted. This one here is missing his right arm, that one is known as the half-wit, and there are a handful of illegitimate lads. The sheriff of the town however believes that all the boys should be in a special home. I like to think of it as a cross between Robin Hood, Peter Pan, and the movie Newsies.

I'm really excited about NaNo and can't wait till Nov. 1st... well... maybe I can.

*heaves a sigh*

Anna mentioned several days ago to having viewed my introductory post, and remarked that I had changed a lot since then. I went back a couple minutes ago to read it for myself, for the first time since I posted it here, and actually must have winced. This is what happens from having joined all the way back in February or whatever, and then dying a swift and bloody death, and then realizing after it's too late that one has matured quite noticeably since the last breath one drew. At least I know many of my convictions have grown stronger, my awkwardness somewhat more shaded over, and my precious invented vernacular Scoppernack more and more confusing. As for becoming more mature, that's always up to the beholder to decide. I feel quite vulnerable. *smirks*
A term which Cherise fused to high adventure with swordfights and black cloaks and all that good jazz smashed into the city streets is 'urban fantasy', and I suppose to put it generally, that is what my precious trashes have become since way back then. After spending sleepless nights lamenting several failed novels ['Sundapple' being amongst those; please accept my humble apologies but the depth simply could not be conveyed], I have settled on more sturdy ground with my writing. Upon discovering it doesn't technically fall into any more specific genre besides fantasy, which could mean anything if let loose in spinning Normality, I created the genre term 'psychoquantum' to describe the junk I write. Basically, as I put on the Hideaway, it is
'a name given to writing dealing in the crossing of parallel realities, the invasion of supernatural influences, the motives behind sin-nature occurrences and the psychological existence of the individual.' Truly fascinating, once the viewer can get beyond my possibly flawed definition. Ha!
I will leave you with this notion: anyone can fill blank pages with the beatings of their hearts, but whether the heart bangs its life out to the strain of wickedness or to the sweet promise of beautiful eternity is entirely up to the soul which bears the leaky pen.
[P.S. Pay no attention to the font. Something got messed up in the copy/paste. How typical is that?]

*looks up from his writing and pushes his glasses back up his nose* Well hello there!

Well, I'm a newcomer to the NaNo family. My name is Phileas Tambov, but you can call me Phil. This will be my first year doing NaNo and I'm proud of it! I'm writing a book called Ghost Hunter, but it's not quite what you might think the title infers. It's about a boy forced to be a man when his village, his family and all he knows is ed away when a Columbian Cartel them and torches their village. He then swears, and I kid not, directly on their graves that he will not rest until he avenges their s. He becomes a sniper in three different militaries (retiring after learning skills from each military) and then hires himself out as an assassin, only known to them as the Ghost Hunter. Along his journey for revenge he encounters God, and an American named Caity. That's as much as I can reveal without blowing the whole book. So ... it seems as though I will be the only boy NaNo'er on here this year. Should any guys see this, and if their authors they should join. It's going to be tons of fun!

~Phil

Happy! Mother!

*is quoting Miss Bates* Sort of.... :)

The most wonderful thing has happened! The kind people at Amazon have kindly given NaNoWriMo a $25,000 grant! So they can fix up the site even more! You can read the article about it on the main NaNoWriMo.org page.

*dances around happily*

I can't wait to see what changes they make!

On another thought, I hope nobody minds that I replaced the countdown. Now it counts down the time til NaNoWriMo 2009 starts, instead of the time since NaNoWriMo 2008 started. :) Only 104 days! *grins and squeals happilly*

So, can we bring this place back to life? Who thinks we can do it??? *raises hands*
