• Jul. 10, 2009 - Summer is here..... I could not think of another title
Well, nothing much has happened since I last wrote. My sister (WarriorforChrist) sat on a thorn bush and now has a thorn stuck in her behind. Not very pleasant.
The skit meeting went smoothly, well as smoothly as possible. We had on person missing and he happens to have the most lines in the whole skit! We are getting somewhere, but he has not been able to attend the first two meetings so far.
The Steubenville adoration evening did not go as I expected. Our meeting was scheduled to be two hours long. However, all the adoration time I got out of it, was 10 minutes! Each small group went to the chapel and sat in adoration for 10 minutes. The rest of the time, we just sat around talking. Actually, Kara kept moaning in pain with her sweatshirt off and only a tank top on because she had a sunburn. "I did not know my mom brought sunscreen!" She tried to defend herself. Sometimes, I think it is ridiculous the harm that some teenage girls put their skin through, just to get a nice golden tan. I don't waste my time doing that, because I have a very light skin tone and burn very easilly. Then, I am completely white again! Please do not be offended if you are one of those people that go to great lengths to get a tan, but I just do not see the sense of it. My message to you people today:
MAKE SURE YOU WEAR SUNSCREEN FOLKS!

• Jul. 8, 2009 - I am Back
Hello, I am back. I know it has been a long time, but with school, I did not have a lot of recreational computer time. Now that the summer is here once again, I will have more time to dedicate to a blog.
Public school was not as bad as everyone said it would be. Of course, it was not as laid back and well, safe as homeschooling was. However, it was quite an experience. I was still challenged academically, as well as socially. My faith was also challenged! Not many people who walk into a public school are Catholic, Christian, or let alone, have any faith at all. There are quite a few, but not many of them practice either.
For the upcoming summer I have a few activities planned, not many, but enough to keep me busy. I have to finish my summer reading. I have to choose a book, and then pick 10-12 quotes from the book to comment on. I need a book to read! Every book I pick up lately, does not interest me much. Maybe I just have too much on my mind right now.
At the end of the month, I will be attending my first Steubenville East Conference! Steubenville East is a huge Catholic conference. I have heard that it is a great experience for your faith. To prepare for this life changing conference, my parish has meetings in which we have to attend. In these meetings, everyone has a "small group." In my small group is my best friend, Allie (ArcherforGod), a girl named Katelyn St. G, and Kara Tracy. If you read earlier entries, you will understand when I say, that this was not my idea of an ideal small group. I talked to the youth ministry coordinator, Mrs. Riel, but there was not way she could rearrange the small groups. Kara and Katelyn St. G are bests friends. Allie and I are best friends. Mrs. Riel just put two and two together. It has not gone as bad as I expected, but it has been very akward. Kara, as you know, can be utterly rude to me. (Since my last entries, her attitude toward me has gotten worse). Katelyn St. G has a bit of a reputation to be annoying. So, as you can see, this is quite an akward group. However, I am really glad that I have my best friend ArcherforGod to help me through this.
Tommorow, for the Steubenville East meeting we have adoration, so it is not like it is a sit down small group session. I will be a lot more comfortable sitting with my other friends, and just praying in silence.
Once again, I have a part in the skit for our Vacation Bible Camp! Bible Camp is already next month! We are having a meeting before adoration tommorow. (All of the people that are in the skit are also attending Steubenville East). That is all I have on my agenda for tommorow.

• Nov. 4, 2008 - Fall is finally here!
Wow! I have not been on since Autumnfest weekend! This goes to show you why you should never go to public school. The teachers are mean and do not care if they slap you in the face with scencless homework ! Not literally, but I have to say, the homework is easy, but there is a lot of it. This is actually the first time since Autumnfest that I have been able to go on the computer. I keep myself busy in other ways though. This is basically the only thing I do on the computer, besides homework.
I love fall! The leaves look so beautiful as they are falling off the trees! (That is why I have chosen the picture below.) I think of November as the month where fall is the best! The weather is just changing, and the leaves surround you. There is frost on the windows in the early morning. Then at night the sky is really dark because of the time change. Before you know it, it is already winter!
Late fall also means iceskating for me! Yes, it has started. I have had a total of three lessons so far. However, I need to accomplish one sequence then I can pass on to the next level. The Mohawk step sequence to be precise. Myself, and two other girls never accomplished it last year so we are kept behind this year to perfect it. Now I am in a group with a bunch of kids ranging in ages of ten to about twelve. One of them, I assume she is the youngest, and she is just about half my size! I keep tripping over her. I feel really bed for all of the kids because This is thier year to learn all of the stuff myself and the two other girls learned last year. They must be under a lot of pressure! I am aslo uner pressure to move onto the next level! Well, it is almost time for supper, I hope I will have enough time to write later!

• Oct. 11, 2008 - Autumnfest weekend
This weekend is Aurumnfest weekend! I am so excited! For those of you who do not know what Autumnfest is, which I don't think a lot of people would, it is basically like a carnival that we have here in Woonsocket on Columbus day weekend. My parish St. Agatha's has a booth there and we sell dynamites. Not the explosive kind, it is a type of food. It is sort of like a sandwich that has meat, vegtables, and a few spices in it. It is very hot (temperature wise). It is also very sausey. I think I may try one this year, though I am not fond of sausey foods. I want to give my own opinion of what it tastes like.I am working the booth from 7-9 pm tonight and 1-3 pm tommorow! (All shifts are two hours). ArcherforGod and Dragonfly1997 are doing it with Liwella and I tommorow. I don't know who we will be with tonight. Well, that is about it! Have a nice weekend!

• Oct. 6, 2008 - The weekend and an award
Wow! I have been really busy lately because I school and all. How has everyone been? I am sitting here with a congested nose right now. *sniff* I think I caught a cold from somewhere, either that or my allergies are really, really bad.
My weekend was really busy! I was working on a project for English all weekend. I had to do a scrapbook on the life of a greek goddess. I chose Artemis. Not that I really wanted to write a report on a goddess, because I am not into the whole greek mythology thing (I am a strick Catholic.) However, I do like animals from Mythology! Like centars, dyrads, saytars...etc. You know what I found out doing this project? Fauns are from Roman Mythology! I never knew that! I thought they were greek.
Besides my project, my older brother took Andrea, Joseph, and I to see the 4th Indiana Jones movie. It was not my favorite movie in the the world (Of course you all can plainly see my favorite movie - hence my blog). But I did like it more that the other 3 movies in the series. Indiana wasn't such a 'skunkle'. That is what I call the actor who does the part of Indiana Jones and Hans Solo (from Star Wars). I just think that he is a show off. Besides, when I asked Joseph what Hans Solo's name was when I first watched Star Wars I thought he replied "Skunkle". So I have just called him Skunkle ever since.
I also served a wedding this weekend. Then I went to mass of course (and served) too.
Oh yes! I almost forgot! I recieved another award! This one I really like!

I would like to award this award to Liwella and Archer for God!

• Sep. 14, 2008 - Busy weekend
I am sorry I have not written in so long. My homework load has been incredible! Believe me, if you do not like homework, stay out of honors classes!
Anyway, other that homework I have had quite a busy weekend. Yesterday I auditioned for the parish Varity show. It went well. All four of us could be a bit louder, so they will give us microphones. I hope I do not knock anything down in the process of my scarecrow dance.
Later in the day I altar served a wedding. It was the third wedding I served. It was also the longest. The flower girl was about two years old, and she kept tripping over her dress. Then, every time she tripped she would drop flower pedals and pick them up one by one. It was not very ammusing. During the sign of peace the bride and groom went around shaking everyone's hand. There was this little kid who began running around the church screaming SEAN during that time. The bride and groom hired their aunt to play the keyboard. She played 3 songs. One of them was the Prayer of St. Francis. She sang even more off-key then she played piano. I don't mean to be so judgemental, but it was just a very long mass. Even Fr. John was getting impatient!
Today was a much better day. It was my dad's birthday. At 8:30 mass I recieved an award for altar serving. After 6 years, it is an honor to finally recieve this award! A lot of people were really happy for me. During the six years I have altar served, I have gotten a chance to get to know quite a few parishoners. One parishoners even tried to start a standi ovation for me. I think many of them would have joined in if they didn't have weak knees or bad backs. A lot of the people who attend 8:30 mass are senior citizens. Everyone I have talked to has metioned something about thier bad back or weak knees. So, I can understand why many of them did not want to stand.
After the 10:30 mass we had our annual Celebrate Youth dinner. Every year the youth ministry corridinator presents awards to the youth in our parish who have deicated thier time and energy to the parish. (Mr. Proulx (the altar server corridinator) wanted to present the altarserver awards during mass.) The we have a slide show of pictures from all the youth ministry events. It is really a great celebration that I love to attend year after year.
Well, that is about it!

Ok, now that I am done with those... I will write about the past two days. Not much has really happened. I had school. You people must be really tired of hearing that. "I had school." Most of the people reading my blog are in school! Anyway, I also had a piano lesson last night. Today I had a day off from school. It felt like I was in school though. I had/have a lot of homework. I still have math (due tommorow) and and two essay rough drafts (due Thursday). I finished the rest of it and I am just talking a break now.
I just recalled a dream I had last night. It was weird. I was lying in my bed and then all of the sudden there was an old lady that ran into my room, jumped on my bed and screamed "Did you steal my icepack?" I replied "No." Then she said "OK." Then she turned to leave my room and said "Then were you the one who stole my toster oven?" I said "No" once again. That was the end of my dream. It was really random.
My mind is recalling really random things right now. I have the Barney theme song stuck in my head... I have not watched Barney since I was 7! I also am trying to say Dolly Parton 5 times fast. I don't really know who Dolly Parton is, I just know I can't say her name. I have never been able to. I always end up saying Darly Patton. It is just one of those wierd things. Ok, I think this will be the end of my entry.

• Sep. 7, 2008 - Smart kid, Ben, and Excitment
Wow! I wish I was prepare for how much homework I was going to get in highschool! I already have two essays, a book review, and two math worksheets for the weekend! Well, I don't have to complete all of them. I finished the math worksheets and the first draft of one of my essays. That was what I wanted to accomplish over the weekend. I have some time before the rest of the assignments are due. So far I am known as the "Smart kid." Many people have asked me for help in Math, Physics, and English. I was never the smart kid before! I was totally average. Now I kind of like the change. It makes me feel good to know I can help out my classmates using my knowledge of different things.
This story happened a while ago, but I will tell you anyway. I was sitting down, once again talking to my guardian angel and I asked him/her (If angels have a gender. I think they do.) what their name was. Then I heard a big booming voice say "I am Ben." I asked my sister if she heard anything and she said no.
With that said... Something totally awesome happened yesterday! I was talking to myself while I was vaccuming. Then I thought, "how about I talk to my Ben!" So I said "I wish I could see you Ben, face to face!" Then I heard footsteps coming down the stairs and I saw a shadow go around the corner. I called out for my mom and my sister, but there was no answer. I ran upstairs to see where everyone was, and they all acted as if nothing had happened. I asked them if they went down stairs and the both said "No". I know it was Ben! I just know it!
I am so anxious for a lot of things. Let's see, I have confirmation classes, the parish variety show, and ice skating! I don't know when confirmation classes or ice skating start. The variety show is September 20. ArcherforGod, Liwella, Dragonfly1997 and I are going to be acting out 3 scenes for the Wizard of Oz. I am the scarecrow. We still need to practice a bit more, and time our acts. The only way we could do the show was if we did three acts. The way I made the deal, we are only allowed three to four minutes for each act! So far we are batting five minutes! I don't know if the result is because of the lack of knowledge for out lines or what. I am just so excited!

• Sep. 3, 2008 - First day of school and my first award!
Well, I survived! My first day of school was not all that bad. It was very rushed, but I will get used to that. It does get a bit crowded in the halls. Many of the kids do not have any manners. No one says "Excuse me." Most of the time I hear "MOVE YOU *BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP" If you understand what I mean. I would never, in all my life repeat those words! I lost count of how many times God's name was used in an improper manner. I think I lost count after 15. Anyway I have 3 classes so far with kids I went to Catholic school. I have met a few good kids too. They may not be Catholic, or Christian, but at least I did not hear them swear... yet. I have one class I don't know anyone in. I quickly made a friend in less than 5 minutes. I don't really have lunch with anyone I know. Some kids from Catholic school, but not anyone I would talk to. I do have lunch with Bryanna (The girl I met the day of orientation). So I sat with her. I don't like some of her friends though. I know I will get through High school ok. Of course I will need some help from the Lord, but he is by my side and I know he will stay there! That is about all!
Now, I have been awarded for the first time by EowynDernhelm!

I choose to award: narnialover95, YoungWriters4Jesus, Dragonfly1997, fiddler4him, chezdak, and Lizzy4124! How you enjoy it! It was a hard choice though! Thank you!

• Aug. 30, 2008 - I can't think of a title for this one...
Hello. Normally I do not like to write an entry if I have nothing specific to say.
Well, last night I went bowling with the altar servers. It was fun! Time flew by really fast! You know, I was watching two of the teenagers that were with us. I came to the conclution that most teenagers I know only like to talk to themselves. They don't like to talk to anyone else that ins't a teenager. Then I got to thinking, I am a teenager and I don't do that! I talk to both people my age, adults, the elderly, young children, and even babies! I wonder why most teenagers only keep to themselves. I have never really been able to figure this out! It is just one of those things that I would wonder about and never get an answer to. If I asked one of those types of teenagers why they do that, they would probably say, "What are you talking about? You are out of your mind! You have finally lost it, just like those elderly people you hang out with!" I however would never dare to approch a teenager to come out and say that though.
Anyway... what else should I talk about? Oh yes! ArcherforGod, Liwella, Dragonfly1997 and I finished the first Narnia script! I have to go now. I may write tommorow!

• Aug. 28, 2008 - School Orientation
Last night I had a school orientation. It was not that good. I had to sit for about 45 minutes and listen to the principle give a speech. It was freezing in the auditorium and I had a hard understanding the principle's heavy spanish accent.
Then there was supposed to be a group of highschool seniors giving us a tour of the building. The group I was with spilt up. The soon-to-be-freshmen were running around and yelling. Then the seniors just walked off by themselves.
The next thing I knew the hall was empty and I was standing alone in a huge enviroment that I had never been in. I leaned up against the lockers and prayed, "Lord, please send someone to guide me. I am lost and I need help! Please send someone to lead me."
Then all of the sudden a girl and her father walked by. The girl said "Hi". The Father nodded his head. I reconize the two from the jumbled up group I was in. Then I ran down the hall to catch up with them.
"Can I stick with you? I too lost the group and I have never been here before!" I asked the man.
He smiled and said "yes". The he said, "This is my daughter Bryanna."
After that it went very well. Bryanna and her father were very nice. Bryanna came from the middle school. She wore all black and had black hair with dark blue highlights. She is what I call a zombie. She had a very nice personalitly, even though her apperance was a bit frightening. I may be in a few of her classes too because she is going to be in the honors track, just like me!
I also met my guidance consoler, Mrs. Hawkins. When I first heard the name I tought she was going to be a short, fat, grumpy lady with dark hair and glasses that hung from a string around her neck. I pictured her wearing a navy blue blouse with a black skirt and high-heels that were a size too short for her.
Well, it turns out that she is competely opposite! She is tall and has an average weight. She smiles all the time. She does not wear glasses, she wore a with blouse with brown pants and sneakers. She is so nice! She says she thinks I look familiar, but she can not remember where from.
Overall, the orientation was ok. I am a little bit more familiar with the school. I am also a little less nervous. I am still nervous and I will have a hard time finding my way around the school at first. I hope that everything turns out ok and I want to ask you for continued prayers.

• Aug. 27, 2008 - The dentist, The weather, and the Prince Caspian Movie Script
How are you? I am pretty good! I went to the dentist yesterday. I hate going. I also hate that fact that they talk to you while they are working on you teeth. Hello? If their hands are in you mouth you can't answer their questions. And do they always have to talk about school? At least I don't have any cavities. I asked the dentist if I would ever need braces and he said "No, not unless you want to change the way you teeth look now. They are perfectly fine." Phew! That was a load off my mind. At my previous dentist they always said I would need braces. I never wanted them. But that was while I still had baby teeth falling out. Now I have all my adult teeth and My wisdom teeth are starting to show in the x-rays. The dentist said I am a bit young for that to start happening. Oh well, that is just the way God made me!
So other than that, my sister started school today. 7th grade already! Now she is the lucky one to have our older brother Jim for a teacher. Ha, ha, ha.
How about the weather? It was actually chilly this morning! Now I will admit it. It was chilly before, but I didn't want to admit it. But the weather is strange up here in New England to day. Fall is my favorite season, now I can feel it coming! But it is warm out now, it was only this morning that it was chilly. That is normally how the weather is in New England.
Let's see, what else is new? Oh yes! ArcherforGod gave me the part of Susan for the Prince Caspian script. I also have Caspian now. I don't want to make a big deal out of it though. Because, come on! We still have to finish the first one. We decided to talk it over last night when they slept over. Dragonfly1997 and Liwella still wanted to do the script. Both ArcherforGod and I felt that it was all our fault we could not do it. That is why we came to and agreement and we are both very happy. The scene with Geeky Boy will be a challenge, but it is a challenge we are willing to take! I will write down the characters as it stands.
ArcherforGod: Peter, Trumpkin, Reepicheep, Aslan, boatman, Geekyboy, Police officerman
Me (NarnianQueen07): Susan, Caspian, Miraz,Glenstorm, Prinaprisma, White Witch, Telmarine Crier
Liwella: Edmund, Soapespian, Trufflehunter, Corneleis, Bulgy Bear, Windmane
Dragonfly1997: Lucy, Glozelle, Boatman, Nickabrick, Peepiceek
I can't remember anyone else. If I do remember later I will add them to the lists.

• Aug. 23, 2008 - Hello and two tags
Hello. It has been a while since I have posted. Just to let you all know I have worked out my problem with ArcherforGod. We have decided not to do the script. I don't know if we will change our minds and go back to it or not, but hopefully whatever happens our friendship will stay strong. I have been really busy lately. The rest of our day trips were awsome. We actually only had one more. We went horseback riding. It was so much fun! My horse was really calm and easy to ride. It is funny, because his name was Easy! The guide was very nice too. I talked to her through almost the whole ride. We saw a wild deer on the trail too! It was quite an experience.
All of this week my older brother Jim has been watching my younger brother, my younger sister and I. My Mom and Dad are in Texas. My Dad is a truck driver and he made the truck driving nationals. (The Nationals are when you go to represent your state for a certain class, for example: Twin trailers, 43 feet, or 53 feet etc... Then you do a series of obstacles with the trucks. YOu also take a written test.) My Dad competed with twin trailers. I talked to my mom today and he made tenth place! The top ten! That is totally awsome! My Mom and Dad are coming home tommorow night and I am so excited to see them! This week with my older brother was tiring. Jim (older) and Joe (younger) do not get along too well. Jim had Joe do a lot of writing. Everything he did wrong Jim had him write a sentence about it.
For example:
I will do my homework (10 times)
I will keep my hands inside the car (15 times)
I will only call 911 in an emergency when we need the police, firemen, or hospital. (6 times)
Yes, this afternoon Joe decided to call 911. He told the man that he "wanted to be a policeman when he grows up. " So the police came to our house right before I had to go to mass.
ArcherforGod and Dragonfly1997 were in Maine all week. My sister and I did not spend that much time with friends. Actually Liwella did not spend any time with friends. I spent time with a friend but that was Eleanor. She is older, like adult older. But Eleanor still knows how to act like a kid. She is my piano teacher. She gave me a ride home from daily mass on Tuesday and we talked for about a half an hour. My house is only about 2 minutes away from church, but Eleanor parked the car and we talked for a while. Then I had a piano lesson on Thursday which was 45 minutes. We spent about ten minutes talking and trying to calm down Eleanor's land lady who screamed because of a dead bird. Eleanor may be a lot older than me, but we can sure have a lot of fun together.
Now I have been tagged twice by narnialover95. I have never been tagged before and I want to thank her for my first and second tags!
Here is the first one:
What is your favourite type of building?---- Castles and Mansions
What is your favourite animal?-------- Whales (all animals especially sea creatures)
What is your favourite colour?------- Blue, gold or green (I can't seem to decide lately)
What is your favourite landscape?----- Oceans and forests
What is your favourite game?--------- Uno
What is your favourite hobby?-------- Writing
I will tag?-------- Liwella and Dragonfly1997
The second one:
1. If you could change your name, what would it be? Ann or a virtue like Hope, Faith...etc.
2. What's your favorite animal? Whale (All animals)
3. What room are you in? Dining room
4. Do you have any magazine subscriptions? No
5. What's your dream job? Does a nun count?
6. What color are your bedroom walls? Light Green
7. How many much longer until your birthday? 38 days
8. What did you have for lunch yesterday? Grilled Cheese
9. If you could live anywhere, where would it be? Narnia or Alaska
10. What's your favorite song? Share the Well (Cademon's Call)
11. What color is your shirt? Blue
12. How old will you be in 12 years? 25
13. What's the last thing you read? Inkspell
14. Is this tag weird? I guess
15. Who will you tag? Liwella and Dragonfly1997
That is about it! God bless!

• Aug. 13, 2008 - Purgatory Chasm
Well, today my family went to Purgatory Chasm. It was fun, although my feet are really tired! I wore my new sneakers without breaking them in first! At Purgatory Chasm there are a bunch of rocks to climb and different trails to walk. It is quite interesting. Then we went out for ice cream. That is all that happened. I have just been doing a lot of thinking lately.
I already mentioned the fact that my friends and I are doing the Prince Caspian script. For the first on ArcherforGod did the part of Susan and I did Peter. Our group of friends says that both ArcherforGod's and my personality are 50% Susan and 50% Peter. I thought that maybe it would be fair if I did the part of Susan for Prince Caspian. Susan is my favorite Character and I too, would like a chance to do the part! Personaly I never thought that I was like Peter. I have never really been the leader in our group, Archerfor God always has. If I do try to lead, or at least give my ideas about something, I usually get turned down by ArcherforGod. ArcherforGod thinks that I am more like Peter that she is. I however think the opposite. That is only natural I suspect.
Anyway, yesterday I told ArcherforGod that I wanted to do the part of Susan for Prince Caspian. She was just really quite then she said we could audition. Then she was happy for a while. ArcherforGod told me what lines to do and to do them for both my sister (Liwella) and her sister (Dragonfly1997). ArcherforGod said she couldn't do the second line. I told her she could pick another line, but I will do the new line too, because in an audition both people competing have to do the same thing in order to determind who is best at it. ArcherforGod ended up doing the original line. The results of the auditions were Dragonfly1997 voted for ArcherforGod and my sister voted for me.
Now I think that ArcherforGod is sort of upset I did well during the audition and may get the part. I tried calling her house a couple different times, but there was no answer. She may just have gone somewhere or she may just not want to talk to me. I left a message and I will call back later and maybe there will be an answer.
I need some advice! Please help me! I don't know if I am doing the right thing! I have never really spoke my feelings and may have hurt someone in the process! The two sides may be confusing so I will write the situations out in shortform.
ArcherforGod:
1. Had the part of Susan for the first Narnia movie.
2. Is confident with some of the lines.
3. Has some Susan in her personality.
Me:
1. Had Peter for the first movie.
2. Wants to just do the part of Susan for one of the Narnia movies.
3. Is confident with most of the lines.
4. Personality mostly like Susan.
I would really like you people think about this problem. Who would you vote for? I would also be open to any advice that you have for me! PLEASE COMMENT! I beg you!

My dad is on vacation and we are going to be aking day trips all week. Today we are going to Higgins Armory Museum. I have heard that you get to try on the battle armor. That should be really interesting. Then later we are going to Bugaboo Creek for dinner. So as you can see not much has happened. Yesterday it rained so we went to the shoestore. I got a pair of sneakers. That is it!

P.s. I think this picture is slightly funny. Just consentrate on their facial expressions. |
