Today we went to see a horse that a friend is offering us. She is very Beautiful, soft, FAST, gentle (well, what I mean is she doesn't have one mean bone in her) W e brought a friend along to see what her opinion was. She is 11 years old.We got some pictures of her. She is the same bread that Bella is (you can find what Bread she is. We have been VERY BUSY lately we've had more company than you would believe!! first all the family on my mom's side of the family were over for a few weeks. Then some friends that used to live her ( then they moved to Alaska) moved back . The kids got to come a week before their parents in a plane and needed a place to stay so we had them for a week. In a few week we go to Canada for a music master class. We will get to play with an orchestra. Yippy! well ttyl Starlight |

On Monday we got a new horse! Her name is Bella and she is Quarter horse, Arabian, and thoroughbred. We have ridden her lots already and she is nice to ride. She’s a little bony though!! LOL ! on Monday we also gave our old horse Goody to a little girl. Here are some pictures of Bella:

We staid at Deroux camp grounds. and Thursday we went hiking up Ingles Way trail. It was really fun.
At the camp site on Thursday morning we were eating and little birds so called Camp robbers, Canada jay, or Grey jay’s came to our camping site. And so we took some bread and offered it to them at first they were very hesitant but became bolder and bolder! On the hike we saw lots of wild life we saw a marmot, lots of Pikas, grouse, ground squirrels and birds. The hike we went on was very rugged and desolate. It seemed it would take ETERNITY to get to the top of the mountain. But what we were looking for was the lake that was at the top! After two hours of hiking we decided to send my dad as a scout to see where the lake was and would you believe it we were ten minutes away from the lake!
We finely made it to the lake and all around the lake was desolate rock. We were hot and tired and we had brought are swimming suits so we jumped in the That’s it for now. ~Starlight~ |

In May we went to Fountainview Academy which is several hours away from where I live. We were going with our whole choir. So we met at our church. The parents wanted us to go to the bathroom before we left . All of us wanted to be first so we were running down the stairs. When we got to the hall Splish SPLASH! All our feet were wet! Oh the basement of the church was flooded!! What a bad start. So we had to go home, which is 15 minutes away and get the shopvac. The carry chairs and books from the Sabbath school rooms. Finaly we were finished. We were on our way. It took us all day to get there. We arrived for supper. One of the dads had some ceral with milk honey and pineapple - at least what he thought was pineapple! He sat down and took a bite of his food,. Yuk!! It was crushed garlic. The next day we practiced for choir. We worked hard. Mr. Cleveland was a lot of fun and he helped us alot. We enjoyed it, but we also got tired. ON Sabbath we had our concert and that afternoon we went on a pontoon boat and a house boat.  There is a hot tub on the house boat and a slide going into Seton Lake. Seton is a glacier lake!! COLD.  We had fun after dark sliding into the water and someone would pull us out and we would rush into the hot tub. It was great in the morning, too. We needed to head back, but there was time to to play in the hot tub and on the lake as we traveled. I even got to jump off the roof of the houseboat. Eventually we had to go we were to visit an Aunt and Uncle that evening at supper. |
  In May we went to Ketchikan, Alaska. While we were there my sister, friend and me decided to go swimming in the ocean. It was REALLY COLD, but we are tough. We went swimming as the pictures prove. It was great! But afterwards we were cold.  I found a huge starfish. It was the same color as my big, ol' winter coat. He was pretty.  We took a ride in a pontoon plane. Our group had to ride in two planes. It was great. We flew over some cruise ships and over the mountains. We could see see animal trails in the snow and some avalanche areas. Some of the lakes still had ice on them.  We went to the popcorn shop! And were live advertisement. We managed to eat a lot of kettle and caramel corn.  Here is a picture of our family in Alaska.  This year dad was ready to cut down the cherry tree because the birds get in the cherries and we hardly get any. But he came up with one last idea to save the cherries. We copied a bird sounds from a bird sound book unto the computer and then burned a CD. We had falcon, different owl, eagle and hawk calls. All predator bird calls. We put a CD player in the tree and turned on the calls really loud. The very first few hours all the animals were afraid. The cats were in the tack room looking out the window. All the chickens were in the barn huddled together. And the dog was sitting right by the tree looking up! And this year we had tons and tons of cherries and there were hardly any bird pecked ones at all! They were so juicy and good.  |
 We dressed up in bee suits and worked with some bees. I saw the queen bee and watched some baby bees hatch. The bees had made lots and lots of honey already. I would love to have a bee hive of my own so I could do this every week!  |

Suprise!!!!! We have chicks!!!!! I heard peeping and I told Breezy to go see what might be wrong whith the chicks (that we had this spring.) And she found new baby chicks!!!!!!!! There are 11 chicks and one dud egg.

Today my family got back from a place near Daisy. We were at some friend's (at least my mom and I were) my sisters were at camp. I had lots of fun!!!!We went swimming every day!!! my sister got some button quail they are sooooo cute!!!!! Well I better go. Starlight |

Afew weeks ago. Our friends and my sisters and I went cannoeing down Icicle Creek. We had brought three kayaks and I got to be in one for more than half way down the river!!!!!!!!!!!! That was fun but scary!!!! because it was my first time handling the kayak alone.!!!! Starlight |

Today we found my rabbit Betty- buton had pulled some of her fur. so we put some straw in the cage to see what she would do. and she put it in the nesting box! a little while later she was having babies!!!!!!! Yippy!!! four made it but three died.  the four look like winners. LOLStarlight |

We just watched a chick break through it's egg. So now we have two. One at the barn and one in the incubator. There is one in the process at the barn and another with a small hole in the incubator. The hen laid 11 eggs in all.  So far, he is kind of ugly!   |

We went down to the barn to get another egg for the incubator because the other eggs were pecking and peeping. And guess what we saw?? We saw a wet little chick!   Isn't she cute???? |
 My sister planted some tomatoes in January. They are so huge they can't stay up by themselves. Dad came up with a great idea of making a stand. I got to help him. That was fun! It is 5 feet high and twenty four inches wide and four feet long. He put two wheels on one side and put the handle on the other. This makes it moveable.  We put string from the two top beams and wound them around the plants. Then we hung the grow light from the very top. It works great. |

We are expecting chicks pretty soon!
Yeah!!   Today we got an incubator working and put two of the eggs in it. Before we put them in we candled them and they were all dark except a little round spot. That is the air space. I think they will hatch soon!!!!   Starlight |

We are playing a game called the Positive Words Game. It's where you try not to say anything negative for 2 whole weeks. If we do we must go back to start.
I haven't gotten to finish yet. I've only gotten to day 12 at most. But my mom got there!!! the three five dollar bills are for me and my 2 sisters when we reach the end the first one to get to the half way mark gets the one dollar. I got the dollar. my magnet is the green one.

 I made a quilt for my Grandma with my mom's help. It was the first time I used a sewing machine. I learned a lot of things. It was fun and a lot of work! Grandma likes it very much.  |

I play flute for church and for fun. I have been taking lessons since I turned 6. When I started I was too small for a regular flute, so I started with a curved headjoint. Then I got big enough for a regular one. I just bought myself a new flute. It is a Yamaha. I had plug taken out of one of the keys already. My sister plays violin and piano. And my other sister plays harp and piano. Sometimes we play together. |
