Luke 12:7 (New King James Version)7 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. Yesterday a good friend lost his dad in a terrible accident. It brought back memories of the loss of my father and other loved ones in recent years. Grief is normal. Despair is normal. What is not normal is allowing emotions to take control of our lives. We must always remember that God wants to carry our grief and bear our sorrows. He cares for us more than we could ever know or understand. His Eye is in the Sparrow and if that is true, then it is also true that he loves each and everyone of us even more. When we are in the depths of despair, God is there with us, holding us and keeping us from a free fall. If we could only remember that just as he is concerned about the birds in the air and the lilies in the field, he also is more concerned about us, how much grief and despair could we be spared.? Would we go through life with less heartache, if we reminded ourselves of that fact? God never promised us a life free from heartache, grief or tears, but many times we allow ourselves to remain in the heartache and grief and allow a continual flow of tears or we dwell on the situation that put us there because we forget or take our focus off this important fact, HIS EYE IS ON THE SPARROW AND HE WATCHES OVER US! HIS EYE IS ON THE SPARROW (link above) Why should I feel discouraged I sing because I'm happy I sing because I'm happy |
