The following was sent from Nevada Homeschool Network.  This year they are doing things differently hopefully resulting in a better and more consistent Homeschool Convention this year.  Nevada has not consistently had a successful homeschool convention.  We are praying that this year we have plenty of prayer and volunteer help.  Blessings to all who volunteer, please contact the apprioriate people if you are interested.  Let's all make this a very successful homeschool convention 2007.

HOMESCHOOL CONVENTION
June 29-30, 2007

Nevada Homeschool Network is pleased to announce the
Southern Nevada Homeschool Convention to take place on
June 29th and 30th 2007 at Cornerstone Christian
Church. This year we will be partnering with Chiefs
Homeschool Group, along with the support of Eagles
Homeschool Co-Op, to bring you the BEST local
Homeschool convention at a reasonable price! Here is
a sneak peak into this wonderful weekend event.

Friday, June 29th, will be a city-wide used curriculum
sale. The event will be free to those purchasing, and
those selling will only be charged $5 per table (no
outside tables permitted).

Saturday's events will include many speakers, with
topics ranging from homeschool laws (by HSLDA) to
making “Lap Books.” We will have many great vendor
displays from 8 am until 5 pm. For those of you who
have children up to age 11 we will be offering
childcare and educational children's programs. Our
educational programs will include Mad Science Las
Vegas ( http://www.madscien ce.org/locations /lasvegas/
), and Cap'n Dave Einstein (
http://www.capndave dinosaurs. com ), an energetic
dinosaur expert.

If you are excited about this event, we can use your
help! We need volunteers to serve every area of the
convention, including but not limited to:
Advertising; Used Curriculum Sale; Donations/Door
Prizes; Registration; Childcare; Kid's programs;
Workshops; and Set-up/Clean- up. Please email
