Got this from Rocks in my Dryer 1. Book that changed your life: Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby. This book helped restore my relationship to God after a very long drought.
2. Book that you've read more than once: All the Little House books. Every single book by Emilie Loring. Redeeming Love, by Francine Rivers-- the best Christian fiction book ever written. 3. Book you'd want on a desert island: Ummm How to build a boat? 4. Book that made you laugh: Confessions of a Shopaholic and all the sequels. 5. Book that made you cry: Redeeming Love, by Francine Rivers That Was Then, This is Now by S. E. Hinton. That one i read in high school and I can still remember how sad I felt. 6. Book that you wish you had written: To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. My favorite book of all times. Great movie, too. (this is supposed to be "book you wish had been written" but I read it wrong) 7. Book you don't enjoy: I don't like westerns or trashy romances that make you blush. (They usually have a red or purple cover LOL) Not a huge sci-fi fan, although I like the books in the Star Wars universe, especially post ROTJ.
9. Book you've been meaning to read: His Needs Her Needs. This one is one my husband recommends to couples, and I have been meaning to read it forever, especially for the past year or so. 10. Book you remember as a real page-turner:
Most books by John Grisham, although I am almost always disappointed by
the ending. (Runaway Jury being the exception) 11. Non-fiction books that you have enjoyed: The Purpose Driven Church by Rick Warren This one changed the way we do ministry. Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby, as mentioned before. Of course, The Bible. :) 12. Children's books your family has loved: Going to Sleep on the Farm We got this one in a Brighter Vision package and it has been a favorite. Joseph Had an Little Overcoat. We read this one at the museum and I immediately came home and looked for it online. All of the Junie B Jones books, Little House books, and Narnia books. |
