My twenty cents keeps moving!

1.  We started our 4th year of Twelve Days of Christmas tonight.  We took pears to an older lady who lives alone and put them anonymously on her porch with a clever note.  The kids get a huge kick out of it.

2.  Jason and Reed tried to put our tree up tonight and broke it.  The kids are wanting to make a tree out of handprints.  Sounds good to me.  No needles and no decorations to store after LOL.  I suspect they will change their minds.

3.
My favorite Christmas movie is Arthur's Perfect Christmas.  And the Buster Baxter song?  Makes me cry. You can watch just the song here, but you really need the whole context of the movie to get it.  His mom tried so hard.  I have a mom like that.

4. I also love the Muffy/Francine song.
(see it here at 4:45)

5.  Our Christmas play this Sunday night is still a big question mark in terms of, ummm, production value.  The Herdmans' got nothin on us.  I am just waiting to see what God will do with it.  He can make it exactly what it needs to be.

6.  Why is it that when my kids are fighting the one thing that unites them is when they turn on me?  Suddenly I am the bad guy because I am punishing the child you were just fighting with?  Whatever.

7.  Our church's outreach program received an anonymous donation of $7500 this week.  That is amazing.  I love to see how God works.
