This week's assignment for Blogger Friend School:

My favorite!

one for our school

and I like this one too!

My verse this week is
Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls,  yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will take joy in the God of my salvation. (Habakkuk 3:17-18)

You can read why here.

Blogger Friend School Assignment #1

A. Give a brief introduction paragraph stating how you got started blogging and your personal goals for journaling.

I started blogging a couple of years ago when my husband started blogging.  We both had a blogger account, mainly as a way to keep in touch with the youth at church.  They all had xangas, and we wanted to stay in touch with them online.  They all switched to Myspace, and while we also got Myspace accounts, I started blogging at HSB primarily.  I will occasionally cross post at Myspace, but I don't put all my boring homeschool posts over there (LOL.)

B. Share a “dream” place to blog in picture if you can. Suggestions…..a rock on the beach, under a tree at a park….take or find a picture(s) that would best describe a PLACE that you would LOVE to blog. DREAM!

If I were anywhere but home I wouldn't be blogging.  I would love to be on the beach, but I wouldn't be blogging if I were there :)

We may be going to TN in November.  If so, I won't be blogging from there.  It will be a long awaited break from church, theater, and all things that consume our time and energy.  And if you are a ministry family that could use a cheap vacation to Pigeon Forge TN, Email me! for information about this place.

C. Answer some questions to tell us more about you:

  1. What time do you usually blog?  Late at night when the kids are in bed.
  2. What is your favorite drink?  Coke
  3. What is your favorite book? To Kill a Mockingbird or Redeeming Love
  4. What is your favorite dessert? banana split
  5. Share a scripture that has been an inspiration in your growth with Christ.  2 Peter 3: 1  3 For His  divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness, through the knowledge  of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.
