2nd Annual New Hampshire Peace Prize Essay Contest

Open to all New Hampshire high school students. The prizes are substantial: We are offering three $1000 prizes for the top three essays. We are asking students to reflect and write on the following: "What do you think is the most critical peace issue facing the world either now or in the next twenty-five years? Explain what you think needs to happen on the personal, national, and/or international level for it to be resolved nonviolently, and what part you will play in its resolution. In your essay, be sure to define what you mean by nonviolence in the context of your response, and illustrate your definition using examples."  Contest guidelines can be downloaded from our website www.nhpeaceaction.org.
