Senate bill 18

Posted in Homeschool Talk
New Hampshire--More Calls Needed to
Resist State Control Over Homeschools!

Dear HSLDA members and friends,

Senate Bill 18, which would raise the compulsory attendance age from
16 to 18 years, is scheduled for a vote in the House this Wednesday,
May 16.

Calls are needed now to persuade your representatives to vote against
this legislation.

ACTION REQUESTED

1) Please contact your representative and ask him or her to vote
against Senate Bill 18.  You can use our legislative toolbox at
http://www.hslda.org/toolbox to obtain contact information.

Your message can be as simple as, "Please vote against Senate Bill 18.
This bill is unnecessary, and even harmful to families, as it takes
away parental decision-making authority and wastes taxpayer money."

It is not necessary to identify yourself as a homeschooler; this bill
affects all high school students.

For more information and arguments you can go to
www.chenh.org and
visit our website at
http://www.hslda.org/Legislation/State/nh/2007/NHSB18/default.asp and
http://www.hslda.org/docs/nche/Issues/E/Early_Education.asp

Thank you on behalf of all New Hampshire parents!
