*Title Goes Here*I know it's been a long time since I last blogged, but I'm really not that into it anymore. I've been so busy with trying to juggle so many activities and stuff that I can never find the time to update my blog or comment on friends blogs.I did have the time to change my blog design though and it took me about 3 days to finish it. So, what is everyone doing for Halloween? I'm going to be going over to a party at my friends house so that should be fun. I don't really do the costume or the trick-or-treat thing anymore. Usually I just hand out candy to little kids who come to our house. I dyed my hair on Wednesday. I've never dyed my hair before but I thought I would try it and see if I liked it or not. It turned out really dark and it looks black. I'll probably post some pictures in the next few days. Let's see. In school I've been listening to CD's on the French Revolution and I am almost done with my 11th grade curriculum. Hopefully I'll be able to finish it before Christmas and start on the 12th grade curriculum. I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but it's always been my goal to finish all of my school curriculum and go to Technical College in my 12th grade year since the State will pay for my tuition and books. I made a commitment to eat the weirdest food I could find....I was going to try the chocolate covered bacon but I decided to try alligator instead. Suprisingly it was very good....it was kind of chewy but it tasted like chicken otherwise...... 
Beverly had a lot of fun when we went through the little kids barn where you got to learn about different animals and stuff. She really enjoyed driving the John Deere tractor.... 
And David? David was playing his air guitar while we were waiting for the skateboard show to start.
I must say that the highlight of the day was when my dad and I went on the Skyscraper.
I had been planning to go on this ride for two years but kept chickening out....this year I decided to actually go. Sorry we couldn't get a picture of the whole ride but you can virtually experience it on this video from youtube. I think it was definitly worth it. I had a blast!
This was taken at the end of the day when we were riding the bus back to where the van was parked. And in case you're wondering David has cotton candy all over his face..... I Know.....It's Amazing That I Actually Updated My Blog.....Sorry to everyone for not updating my blog in so long but life has been kinda hectic. It will probably take me awhile to catch up on all my comments and everyone's new blog entries but I'll make a point of spending a couple of minutes each day on my blog....and I'll try to write more often. Let's see....since the last time I wrote I went to a family reunion at the beginning of August. It was at my aunt and uncle's house on the lake. David and Beverly got to go swimming for the first time in their lives and they had a blast! They also got to go to the County Fair and rode some rides. I started school about two weeks ago and I am currently studying the American Revolution and the founding of America. On Thursday we're all going to the State Fair so that should be fun.....well thats all for now. <3 Marissa
Change of Scenery.....Wow it has been forever since I wrote but this time I have a very good reason. I don't know how many of you knew that my parents were adopting two kids from Haiti (a boy and a girl) but it took us 3 years to finally get them home and now their here!!! Their names are Beverly (almost 5) and David (almost 3). Our house has been very chaotic since they came about three weeks ago. I have a couple of pictures I want to post that I took.
This is David. This picture pretty much sums up his whole personality. He loves to be the center of attention and is always willing to have his picture taken.
This is Beverly. I'm sorry I don't have any pictures of her smiling but she is just as outgoing as David is.
Here we all are at the Beach....... Besides getting a new brother and sister so much has been going on. I got a job at McDonalds!!! I have been working there about a month and I really really love it. I have been working an average of about 20 hours a week and sometimes I don't get off until midnight but I still love it anyway. I finished my drivers ed (yes!) and now I am waiting for something from the State of Minnesota saying that I can take my permit test and then I can start driving (look out world!) That is pretty much all that has been going on in my life but while I was gone Aliveagain13 gave me an award! Whoo-hoo!!!

I took like over 200 photos at Youth Group for a couple of weeks but I'm only going to post pictures that don't have any of my friends in them since I don't have anyone else's permission to post their picture on my blog.
Here is a picture that I took of a tree bud in our yard as a sign of Spring. Of course in true Minnesota style, about two days after I took this picture we got 8 inches of snow! And this is moi! This was taken a few weeks ago at youth group when I was laughing about something (I don't remember what).

Unfortunately he stayed asleep for like 2 seconds and when he saw I was trying to take a picture he yawned! He obviously was not very interested in having his picture taken..... Well not too much has been going on here. I've been learning how to use my camera and I am trying to get a job for the Summer. I've applied at like 10 different places but I haven't got called or anything so hopefully I can still get a job before school is out. Tomorrow I have my last singing recital before school ends and I'll be singing "They Can't Take That Away From Me." It's a song by the Gershwin Brothers. Here is a video I found of Judy Garland singing it. Just Random Stuff....Hmm....ya know how I said I was going to try and post an entry once a week? Well I just haven't had the time for it but I am just going to update you all a little bit on my life. I don't know if I mentioned this before but I bought a new camera. I thought I would try my hand at photography. So about 3 or 4 weeks ago I went to Wal-Mart and bought a Nikon D40. It cost me $530 and I am now officially broke. But it was definitely worth every penny. I've taken just a bunch of miscellaneous pictures at youth group and by my house. I will post some pictures in my next entry. And then tomorrow I'm going to my one of my friends sweet 16 pool party so that should be fun. Um....other than that there really isn't much else going on. Wonderful Friends and Other Such Ramblings.....I am so sorry I haven't been on. I am going to try to make it a point to write on my blog at least once a week so you're all updated and then when I FINALLY get around to updating my blog, I won't have to cram so much of whats been going on in my life. First I would like to thank Ashley. Ashley held a contest on her blog not too long ago and if you won you got a pair of earrings that she made. Well. I won. I took some pictures so you all can see what a talented jewerly maker she is.
Here I am modeling them. I have alot of black clothes so I choose to get blue since it would pretty much go with anything I wanted to wear.
Here they are close up. Aren't they just gorgeous? There has been so much going on here. My 16th birthday was on February 28th and I had a party the following Saturday. I have been extremely busy with my Youth Group. I have been singing in front of the Youth Group every other Wednesday and it is really good practice for me since I learn to harmonize better and singing in front of my peers is really helping me become more confident in my singing. On March 30th my church is having a fundraiser where the teens in the youth have the chance to share their talents, testimonies and how God has been working in their lives. I decided that I am going to sing a duet with my friend. I still haven't decided what song we are going to sing but I suppose I should decide soon because I have to know by tomorrow night. That is all the pictures I am going to post since my cousin took 95 pictures and I'm obviously not going to post them all lol! Everything here has been good. My singing contest on Saturday went great!! I think it is the best performance I've done since I've started singing lessons! I got a 4 which is excellent. The highest you can get is a 5.....the lady who was judging took alot of notes so I think I will probably get some pretty good feedback from her. I broke my pinky finger on Wednesday at Youth Group
Just A Little Update.....I am just writing today to post a pic that my cousin took a few weeks ago. She took about 95 of them but this one is one of my favorites. I will post more when I have the disc. There's not really that much going on here but I'm excited for tomorrow since its ATF!! I wrote about it in the previous entry. I will try to post some pictures when I get home. I got my results from my my singing recital back. I got 29/30 points. The only thing the judge had to talk to me about was my posture and my breathing. I probably would have taken off more points but I'm not complaining! And in case you were wondering HOW I broke my finger I will tell you. I was hanging upside down on a bar (by my toes) and my shirt started to fall down so I reached to pull it up and I fell on my neck and caught myself with my wrist and my pinky finger bent all the way back....well needless to say~ I'm not going to do THAT again!
