December is our off time and summer vacation

I do not require my kids to even try to do to much structured school work during the month of December. We usually have too many activities going on in the month. They have music recitals, drama programs and church activities to participate in and it can be over  done sometimes.

We love to have a lot of activities during the  month and little school work. This year we as a homeschool family have taken a trip  to Gatlinburg Tennessee for a mountain christmas It was the best time we have had in awhile.

I highly recommend leaving the normal family rituals behind and have a family christmas with just you and your own kids. we were blessed this year.

September is Over!!

Can you believe our first month of school has already flown by. We started after Labor day and it has just gone by so fast.

I want to share the update with the members of our newsletter.

We are doing the Volleyball for girls and music lessons this year.  We have found a family willing to lead a group of our girls for the volleyball teams. We hope that this year will turn out to be a great one with the sports teams. Looking forward to them actually being allowed to play a game against other teams.

I love not driving to Fairhope 3 times aweek this yr for the volleyball practices.

Our music lessons are taught this year at the cottage hill church. We are learning more about music than we did in the full yr at the mobile symphony beginner strings class. I am so glad we are doing private lessons this year.

If you know of any events to join in on let us know we will put together a sign up sheet.

Have a blessed day.

We are a fertile household/school when it comes to children and animals joining our family

Here is a pic of  our duck hatchlings. She laid 21 eggs and was able to produce 18 viable chicks. They were so cute I actually gave in and allowed a photo session to take place in our living room.  The girls were able to sell 14 of the babies to a petting zoo  for $4.oo each. They were so excited and are now forming ideas on a hen house and profit ratio of bird to dollar bill.  The  kids might have just come up with a business they can actually run and it will be good for them.
