UNCG iSchool Online Courses for Homeschoolers

UNCG iSchool Registration is Still Open

UNCG iSchool registration for homeschool students is still open for Fall 2009! The selection of class offerings includes Contemporary Moral Problems (Philosophy 121), Physical Fitness for Life (Exercise and Sports Science 220) and Introduction to Sociology (Sociology 101). For a complete list, view our course descriptions.

Registration is dynamic and is based on a first come-first served basis. In order to participate:

  1. Students must fill out the Student Information Form found on the iSchool home page. For high school selection, choose Home Schoolers.
  2. After receipt and processing of the Student Information Form, students will receive their registration instructions. *Friday, September 4th is the last day to register for classes*. Thus, students need to complete the SIF prior to this date to allow for processing time.

Due to the volume of registrations at this time, if students encounter a problem with registration (once they have their registration materials), please have them contact the registration team at 336-315-7742 for registration assistance. The office is open 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday.

Homeschool students will be billed by North Carolinians for Home Education. The cost is  $330 (NCHE members) or $370 (non-members) for each class. Students are responsible for ordering and payment of their textbooks.

Each homeschool student will have a parent as the facilitator who must complete a facilitator form and the free online facilitator training. UNCG iSchool will send the facilitator form to you.

Students should have high-speed Internet connectivity, a computer with 600 MHz or more of operating speed and 190 MB RAM, latest Flash and Quick Time plug-ins as well as Real Audio player and Acrobat Reader.

If you have any questions about courses or participating, contact Pat Levitin from UNCG at 336-315-7384. For questions regarding invoicing, contact Teresa Amick DeBerry from NCHE at 919-790-1100 or nche@nche.com
