Sep. 25, 2006 - Further proof
As if there needed to be any more evidence, I'm now sure that I'm completely out of touch. Who is this Fergie chick who is everywhere? I mean, I know who she is - a singer, affliated with a music group named the Black Eyed Peas. I know she's committed many a fashion crime - because I stay up-to-date with Go Fug Yourself.
But every time I turn around, there she is. She was on my Shape magazine cover. I had it in the bathroom and it was so irritating DH, that I just tore out the pages I wanted to read further and threw the magazine in the trash. She's been on my AOL home page all day. I keep thinking it's Kirstie Alley and wondering why she's got a eyebrow piercing. Fergie, Fergie, Fergie.
I would not recognize any of her songs. When I hear Fergie, I think of a red-headed, formerly royal, weight loss spokesperson. When I think of Black Eyed Peas, ummm...pretty much just a vegetable to me.
Oh, I just had a thought. Had blogs been around in 1982 and my mother was the blogging sort, she totally would have been writing, "Who is this Madonna person? I get the feeling we're not talking about Jesus' mom."

LOL. Can you belive that I have had many of your thoughts as well??? I keep seeing her picture in my contraband magazine that I pick up at the grocery store. (shhhh. People) Never, ever heard her sing, but I've seen her abs.
