Forward Motion

Jan. 6, 2006 - That Thing You Do

Nothing was on TV tonight, so we looked in the old video cabinet and Dh and I decided to watch this movie.  I love Tom Hanks and even though he's not in this movie as much, it's one of my favorites.  Steve Zahn cracks me up.  The song from the movie is now going to be in my head for 2 days.

I finished DD's skirt tonight.  I hated it.  It's all wrong.  It needs to be garter stitch, not stockinette.  It needs 2 strands of Fun Fur, not one.  DD thinks I am crazy, but I frogged the entire thing.  Then I casted on again...three times.  I just could not get the stuff to cooperate with me.  It was too tight, once I accidentally cut the yarn after I casted on all 62 stitches!  I don't know what the deal was.  Finally my fingers were cramping and I declared that I have had my butt kicked by the chenille tonight.

I got to wear my scarf today.  It was about 46 degrees and we went to the park for park day, but no one was there.  A few people said they'd be there, so the kids were disappointed.  We haven't gone in so long, then no one else was there.  We did get a sample of pond water to try in the microscope, so it wasn't a total loss.  And my scarf rocks.
