Knowledge Quest - How to Homeschool E-Course - Review

Posted in Resources

Are you planning to homeschool, or are you just getting started and have a lot of questions?  How do I start?  How do I get organized?  What approach should I use?  How do I teach Science?  How about Math?  Knowledge Quest has come out with a how to Homeschool e-course just for you, Homeschooling ABC's.

Each week for 26 weeks you will receive an email from Terri Johnson in your inbox with a link to download the week's lesson, in pdf format, along with all sorts of curriculum freebies.   I myself have received the first 18 lessons so far.  These lessons are the ideal length to grab a cup of tea, read over, and then incorporate bit by bit into your homeschooling.  If you're like me and like to curl up and read instead of sitting at the computer, each lesson is generally about 5-10 pages in length, and easy to print out so that you can.  The lessons are easy and interesting to read.  Terri uses a friendly, conversational tone, one parent to another.  And wow, the resources included!  Terri introduces you to the best homeschool products and resources available, and includes downloads to some as well.  One of my favourites is definitely the "What Really Happened in the Middle Ages" e-book.  My whole family thoroughly enjoyed reading about the real "Good King Wenceslas" during our Advent celebrations this past Christmas.

Something I really came to appreciate, is that Terri includes links to all the previous lessons in each lesson.  If your PC happens to die, as mine did just last week, you can access all the previous lessons when the next email arrives in your inbox.  (Of course, now I've learned my lesson the hard way and will be backing up my hard drive from now on!)

Want to see what the lessons are like?  Sign up for a FREE 5 day mini-class HERE.  Should you choose to sign up for all 26 lessons, the cost is $10 US a month for 6 months, and includes over $250 worth of curriculum to download.  Terri also offers a 60-day money back guarantee if you're not completely satisfied.  I have already started recommending this e-course to new homeschoolers, as it answers so many of those burning questions.

Live, Love &
Laugh,

Kimberly
