Come on a voyage with us and you will sail, navigate, read the constellations, sleep outdoors, take command, explore the coast and uninhabited islands, make new friends and have an outrageous amount of fun. No sailing experience needed.

For generations Nova Scotians have traveled the coast in small boats, learning wisdom and courage from the sea. Today the Nova Scotia Sea School takes young people from around the world out to sea in traditional sailing craft, for fun and for personal challenge. It's a chance to discover Nova Scotia's heritage,and to discover themselves.

Since 1921, Camp Wapomeo has been introducing youth ages 7-16 to an unforgettable residential summer camp experience. The fundamental goal of our program is for youth to challenge themselves as they develop new skills in a safe, nurturing environment. We incorporate YMCA core values into all programs: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Camp activities include canoeing, swimming, archery, crafts, kayaking, outtrips, campfires, and more. We offer one-week sessions and 3-week leadership programs for teens. Camp Wapomeo is a place to build friendships, experience outdoor adventures, and form the memories of a lifetime!

Hundreds of children from NB, PEI and NS travel to Thorburn, NS where they bunk in cabins on the banks of the Sutherland's River. In addition to Salvation Army-run camps, Scotian Glen hosts camps for the Nova Scotia Cancer Society, Nova Scotia Firefighters Burn Treatment Society, and the Nova Scotia Hemophiliac Society.

Activities such as canoeing, swimming, hiking, archery, horseshoes, volleyball, soccer, baseball and basketball fill the days. Days end by the campfire with a sing-a-long and marshmallow roast. Scotian Glen makes memories for kids that last a lifetime in a safe and caring environment.

For one week a year, children aged 7-15 years of age, living in Nova Scotia or Prince Edward Island, and living with cancer, brain tumour or a bleeding disorder can enjoy the experience of going to summer camp. A brother, sister or friend may accompany the camper for a week of swimming, canoeing, arts and crafts, outdoor education, camp fires, special programs, meeting new friends, and growing - a week they will never forget.

The Tim Horton Children's Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization committed to providing an enriched and memorable camp experience for economically disadvantaged children and youth. Every year, our six camps serve over 11,000 resident and day campers from across Canada and the United States. Our staff team is comprised of over 350 people during the peak summer period.
