Jun. 9, 2008 This is very exciting!
Today, L-boy and C-boy were at the computer playing a game at starfall.com. L-boy has never shown a whole lot of interest in letters just yet. He'll watch LeapFrog Letter or Word Factory from the library for a little while before going off to play with his toys. He doesn't have much of an attention span for books most of the time, either. But, I noticed while they were playing today that he pointed to "L" and said "L", then he did the same for "I" and "R". What a surprise! So, I decided to quiz him to see if he knew any other letters. HE KNEW THEM ALL!!! As I pointed to each letter, he would either give me the name of the letter or say the sound that it makes!!!!!!! I am so excited for him!
Here is another exciting report. C-boy really hasn't been interested in writing or even drawing. Since I was always a drawer of people growing up, I've often encouraged him to draw something, especially people. But, he instead would tell me what to draw! A week or so ago, he went from drawing nothing but quick stribbles to a whole van full of people! And, he has started writing up a storm!!! He all of a sudden LOVES to write things and wants to know how to spell all sorts of words. He knows the first letter of each word, but then asks for help with the rest. He also seems to really study letters and sometimes likes to write "fancy letters", too, with all of the serephs.
Sorry I haven't been posting pictures lately. We have misplaced the battery charger to our camera!

I like to say my ABC's
And I like to eat macaroni and cheese
I like pizza and icecream
I sometimes eat hotdogs in my dreams
I like to say my numbers
But, I do not like cucumbers
I like to eat cupcakes,
And the cookies and banana bread Mommy bakes
I like to sing every day
HEY, HEY, hey-hey-hey

I love you, C-boy
I don't like dinosaurs
I love you, J-boy
I don't like dinosaurs
