Word Scramble

I gave C-boy letters of the title to our book of the week to unscramble.  First, I gave him "Bear,"  Then we scrambled those back up and I gave him the letter for "Jesse Bear,".  And then I gave him all of the smaller letters which was more challenging, but he surprisingly had no problem with.   After they were all laid out, we glued them on a piece of paper.

More Camping!

Last weekend we went camping again.  We all enjoy this so much.  I think in the future more and more of our trips will be camping trips.  They are fun and so much less expensive than others things.  We went to the same Lake we were at in June.  It is only about a half hour away.

Jesse Bear, What Will You Wear?

We began "Before Five in a Row" with all three boys at once.  We plan to follow this through the end of 2008.  In January we plan to begin "Five in a Row" which is for children ages 4 through 7 years.

This week's book is Jesse Bear, What Will You Wear?

We read it several times yesterday and all three boys really enjoyed it.

In the story, Jesse wears shorts and a t-shirt, so we figured it must be Summer time.  We pretended that Jesse needed to get dressed for colder weather and made these this morning:

Our Classroom

Here are some pictures of our classroom.  I still remember staring at the alphabet hanging in my kindergarten classroom to learn the letters and how to write them.  So, I wanted to be sure to have this for the boys.  When we bought it, C-boy asked if we could also have one with the numbers, so we found that, too.  We did a quicky color chart, too, as C-boy often asks how you make certain colors.  The desks we've had for awhile.  We got them free from a school nearby who no longer needed them.  The alphabet on the desks just came from the outside packaging for the large wall alphabet.  We also have a cabinet in the room FILLED with homeschool stuff.

Fishing!

We went camping last weekend.  The park we were staying at had a children's fishing tournament.  L-boy caught the very first fish!
