Our entire house is getting redone for the next week or so. Everyday there have been people coming into the house to paint the walls or put down new tile floors. Next week we have to completely move out of each bedroom so that we can have new carpet put down. So we have tried to stay out of the way of all the construction with a couple field trips.
The first one on Monday was a trip to the LA zoo. I got some great pics of the animals.
This guy was the biggest giraffe at the zoo, every time I'm there he comes right up to the fence.
So close that if he came just a couple inches forward you could touch him! This is my mom' favorite
picture that I've taken so far.
This is called a Gerenuk. When they finally stop chewing their food you can see it go down their
long throats and sometimes if they fell like chewing it again you can see the lump of food come back up. Cool huh? The new gorilla exhibit at the zoo is finished now and they have a huge silver back! While we were watching it came right up the glass where you see my mom and my brother Carlo sitting. Carlo made the mistake of going right up to the glass and looking it straight in the eyes. I wish I would have got a video of that! We got to see some real silver back behavior. It tried to punch him through the glass after roaring and beating his chest!! Scary... It really made me grateful that there was glass in between us.
And here's little Vivian. She was so excited to go to the zoo. She associates all the animals in the zoo with the ones from the cartoon movie "Madagascar" (her favorite movie). It made her very happy to see "Melman" (the giraffe), "Marty" (the Zebra), and "Gloria" (the hippo).
(If you can't tell what that is from the pic. Its a sea lion). Watching the sea lions made me miss my aquarium buddies in Long Beach.
There was only one meerkat (sp?) out that day.
Renzo reaction to animals.
Our next outing was a trip to Disney Land with out friends. Unfortunately I took a lot of pictures in the parking lot, at the entrance, and on main street. But after that I forgot I had a camera with me for almost the rest of the day. oops. Moms not happy.
Here a few of the ones that I did take.

I loved the Holoween decorations that were at the front gate!
Lorenzo had a much better reaction to Micky Mouse than I thought he would.
I am 15 and I love reading, writing, listening to music, Tap dancing, and playing bass guitar!!! I am working on becoming a musician and a marine biologist.
