Aug. 1, 2007 - No Title
No title for this entry. Why? Not sure what to call it for the most part. You see, if you read my previous post, you'll know that today the son of a friend of mine left for Baghdad (via Mississippi). I am very proud of him (and all those who choose to serve), but today I guess I'm just sad for my friend. You see she has been bitten by the mama bug. That dreadful critter that jumps on your back the moment of birth and follows you around the rest of your life. No matter where your kids are or what they are doing you'll always have the mama bug. So today (and tomorrow and the next day) I'll pray for Josh and his mama.... for safety, for peace, for God's plan. All worthy topics for prayer, but right now I'm going to just be sad that a mama's heart is breaking.
Please pray for our soldiers (and their mamas).

Hi there
It was a nice surprise to drop in and see your new blog template and a bunch of new posts! Sounds like you are keeping very busy... you and Faye put me to shame. I don't have a garden ( too many trees ) and have never canned anything in my life ~ although my mother is the Jelly Queen and did quite a bit of canning when I was growing up. But I never learned... I do have an apron that I usually forget to put on. I do like the idea though, and am thinking of sewing a couple with Amanda. And I'm praying for Lea and Josh also. I expect to be in her shoes in a few months.
