Jun. 12, 2009 - Wonder about Revelation?
I know I do, I have read Revelation but still it doesn't flow for me and I wonder about what the rest of the end times will hold for us. What a cool group of paintings. They are very thought provoking and colorful. I like them.
I never understood Revelations until I studied it from a Jewish perspective. Our minds have a western thinking. However, John wrote things that had some common symbols back then that were commonly understood. However, the grasshoppers with the long silver hair would be an exception to that (which could easily be our current military helicopters). Reread it with that and see if it makes more sense. Also, the virgin on the seven hills that is the harlot is easy to see as the Catholic church. If you look at the current "visions of Mary" (creepy) then you will see her say some things that will also tie in with a false Christian church......There are some great links of research on this subject...I like the Jewish wedding study that ties in with the Last Supper and the parables Jesus spoke to his disciples.
