Oct. 12, 2009 - Christmas Tradition

My favorite Christmas tradition is a dessert called Frosted Bars that my mom used to make only for Christmas. Let's just say it has graham craker, coconut, sugar, and calories.
However last years we asked the 7,5,and 3 year olds to reenact the Christmas story, and that was both beautiful and hysterical, and worth repeating.

My favorite tradition is buying a new ornament each year for the kids(when finances allow) and baking and decorating cookies with them. I also love the first night when we light the tree. We love to use the clear lights because they are so simple and pretty.
Thank you for this giveaway oppportunity.

Our favorite 'tradition' is to sing only "Birth" related songs about Christ during the month of December, during our family worship times. We also like to go through the Bible stories and either play them out or also do felt stories. :)

My favorite tradition isn't really a tradition as such. It's the excitement that everyone feels getting up on Christmas morning. I remember it from being a kid, and LOVE watching my kids today. The pure joy, and happiness and coziness of being all together.

I would love to win this book. I read her previous three book series and thought it was great, just couldnt put it down. I guess my favorite Christmas tradiation is on Christmas Eve we always go to the candlelight service at our church. It just wouldn't seem like Christmas without it. You can reach me at knechtslodge@yahoo.com or www.cabininthewoods-diane.blogspot.com.

Every Christmas morning for the past 8 years my mother and father in law come over to our house early so they can watch the grandkids open their gifts. I fix a big breakfast and play Christmas music and we spend quality time together as a family. Grandma and Papaw help us with putting the kids' gifts together and putting batteries in all the electronic items. They enjoy watching their grandkids and it brings back a lot of memories of when their boys were little. Christmas morning with grandma and papaw has become a Christmas tradition.

I love books like that, so I'm definitely interested! (I am going through the quiverful blogroll checking up on everyone, btw)
What's NOT to love about Christmas. I love the simplicity of our Christmas. I love gathering with family, telling about the story of Jesus to our children again, and picking out thoughtful but inexpensive gifts for our loved ones. Having a budget and having to be creative with our gifts is fun!

My favorite Christmas tradition is to drink loaded egg nog and lay around the house in my boxers. In the afternoon I go behind my house and throw snowballs over my roof at unsuspecting pedestrians. For some reason all the Jolly Fat man brings me is a coal!!! Sometimes I'll take the littles down to the local public school or as we homeschoolers call it "the devil's building" and go sledding down the hill. Please pick me as your winner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello and thank you for visiting. I'm sorry you missed out on entering, I will have more giveaways coming up. No, I don't like announcing it but the fact remains that some people do enjoy coming here and leaving comments that aren't needed and I'm trying to deter them from doing so. I've actually had someone come here and put a curse on me - thankfully I'm a child of Christ and curses hold no power over me or God! I'm sorry if you don't agree with me announcing I do track IP addresses.
God bless,
Sarah
