Woolaroc Kidsfest 2005, June 24 - 26
features games, entertainment, and activities at the Woolaroc Museum
& Wildlife Preserve. 10 am - 6 pm daily; admission $5 adults, kids
11 and under free.
The 2005 Woolaroc's Kidsfest Childrens Festival will
be held June 24-25-26, 2005 from 10 AM to 6 PM.
The event features
events, games, crafts and entertainment are presented on the Woolaroc
grounds where visitors can enjoy all of the activities in the rustic outdoor
environment, along with the natural beauty of the Osage Hills, the historic
art and artifacts in the Woolaroc Museum and the land, lakes and roaming
wild animals on the Wildlife Preserve.
The kids will be able to participate in a variety of activities, such
as pony rides, wagon rides, treasure dig, face painting, Carpenter's corner,
tattoos, beaded necklaces, Indian head bands, native sand art, rock painting,
bean bag games, and lots of nature crafts. Living history booths will
include horseshoer, saddle & boot makers, bridle, bit and spur makers,
woodcarvers, silversmiths, flint knapping, rope making, black-smithing,
old west re-enactors and lots more.
Featured entertainment include mountain men, cowboys, Indian dancers, square dancing,
clogging, western music, trick roping, cowboy poetry, story telling, wild
animal and bird exhibits, and some of Northeastern Oklahoma's most talented
