Auditions for Children's Concert Choir - Norman
The Music School Of Anna Gentle is now
having open auditions for the Children's Concert Choir. The School is
looking for children ages 5 to16 who love to sing, want to excel in it,
and who would like to be part of recordings, a lot performances and
traveling. This is a unique opportunity to learn from the highly
professional musician from Moscow, Russia, who has more than 17 years
of teaching experience from beginners to professionals, and whose
choirs and vocal groups were winners of many choir and music
competitions and festivals. The Children's Concert Choir of the Music
School already has numerous invitations to participate in local events
(Norman Mall Marathon in March, 2006, for instance), and National and
International choir competitions and festivals, that are going to be
held in the USA (including invitations from the Von Trapp family,
Harvard University, and others) and different countries, such as
England, Scotland, Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, Hungary, China and
many more.
For the best quality of performance and understanding of the music all
choir members must attend group Music Theory/Solfeggio class as well as
the Choir. In the beginning children will take a music theory test,
according to which they would be placed to the group of their level. So
there are 2 classes a week : Choir - 60 min and Music Theory/Solfeggio
- 40 min. The cost of tuition $20/week for both classes for 1st and 2nd
child from the same family and $10/week for every additional child. $45
fee/year applies for every child. Children also can take a private
piano lessons or/and private or group classical guitar lessons for an
extra fee.
