Indian Territory Days March 30-31
Indian Territory Days March 30 - 31st.
Letting children learn through experience can be the most exciting way
to teach them about history. That is why the Cherokee Heritage
Center hosts Indian Territory Days, a hands-on cultural event designed
to teach students about Cherokee history and culture. This year,
Indian Territory Days will be March 30 and 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Students participating in Indian Territory Days will learn of the
Cherokee lifestyle typical to the late 1800s through storytelling,
cultural demonstrations and re-enactments. In addition, they can
participate in stickball games, blowgun shooting, marble playing and
museum tours. Visitors can also walk through the Ancient Village
to learn more about Cherokee trades such as basket weaving, flint
knapping, and housing structures.
Admission to Indian Territory Days is $4 per child. One adult will be
admitted free with every ten children. For more information or to
