Fossil Hunting Field Trip - Arbuckle
Would you like to take your kids on a
fossil hunting field trip in the Arbuckles? The Creation Truth
Foundation will provide our guide/lecturer. They are experts in
creation science and a wonderful resource on this subject.
The cost would be $15 per student or $25 per family, plus your gas down
there and back. This is an all day affair, starting around 9am
and ending by 3pm. You would also need to bring a sack lunch as
well.
All ages are welcome on this trip. However, this is not a stroller
friendly trip, for those of you with little ones. I'm sure some
sort of strap on carrier would be fine, if you have the energy, then
come on. There will be lots of hiking in somewhat rough terrain
(short distances), so you would need to dress
appropriately. Older children (3rd-8th) would certainly
come away with a lot more info. But the younger ones will love
the digging. By the way, you get to keep the fossils that you
find as a souvenir.
