Scott Daily Colt Starting, October 29, 2005, 9:30 am to 3 pm

Ever wonder  what a young colt experiences as it begins its training?  Come with Flyers Riding Stables to Scott Daily Colt Starting.  Featured at the 2005 Tulsa State Fair,  Scott's  audience members hear the why's and how's of colt training explained from a professional horse trainers point of view.  We will see him work a number of live colts, from halter breaking a yearling to riding a horse who has never been ridden before to dealing problem horses.  Visit the Tulsa State Fair website to see more information about what Scott does with  horses @
 http://www.tulsastatefair.com/livestockevents_coltstarting.html

The cost of the field trip is $20 which covers admission and transportation to the event; a friend may be brought for $15.  Each child will need to bring lunch  money ($5 - $7).    This field trip is open to ages 7 and up.  If you would like more information call Lisa @ (918)698-0060 or email your questions lottielou3@msn.com .  This event will fill quickly so please contact us as soon as possible to reserve your child's spot.  We will leave Flyers promptly at 9:30 am and return at 3:00 pm.  The Clinic will be held at the Claremore Expo.

The clinic, held at Claremore Expo, starts at 9 am and will last until about 5 pm, with a break for lunch.  The cost for admission is $10 per person.  This is well worth attending,  I recommend anyone attend that has horse questions, even if you don't attend with Flyers.

Debate Class - Claremore

A homeschool debate class for 9th to 12th graders is beginning in Claremore at the home of Keith and Gloria Persson.  Dr. Jerry Boyles is teaching the class at no charge.  He was a champion debater who debated in both high school and college.  The class is held from 3pm to 4 pm on his day off each week.  The book being used is the Argumentation and Debate Book from HSLDA.  The plan is to begin debating within the club and eventually debate in tournaments.   Please contact Keith or Gloria Persson at KeithPersson@sbcglobal.net if you are interested.  If you have information about other debate clubs in the area, we would also appreciate a contact.
