Showing Horses 101 - Owasso, OK

July 10 and 14th, August 7 11th and September 11th and 15th. This year we will be learning all about Horse Showing with an emphasis on halter showing.  We will learn about some of the things the judges are looking at, the difference between the classes in showing, how we prepare a horse and their tack (saddle, bridle, etc...) for the show.  We will also discuss some of the prizes that are given to the winners of the show.  We will also learn a lot of new terminology used to describe showing horses.  Each child will receive their very own workbook with fun learning worksheets, information about horse showing and a schedule of  some of the local shows so they can visit a horse show themselves (or take a field trip with Flyers!).   For more info or to sign up: www.flyersridingstables.com

**Please bring a nice finger food to share with the group, drinks will be provided,  we will eat, fellowship and brain storm.

**We will be having an "organized" brain storming meeting discussing options for our Academic coop for the next school year.
We are looking at continuing our Trism's coop, our History Makers coop, Story of the World coop along with having some elective options such as:
**Art classes
**Spanish Classes
**Possible highschool Science classes
**Middle school age Science classes
**Math classes or supplement classes
**etc...etc....etc

If you are interested in teaching any of these or any other courses, and would like to join other families , please join us and at least share your ideas.

If you already know what you would like to offer, (for
example, Biology, or Algebra etc) please email me with your ideas and approximately how much you would like to charge per month/ per student and any additional information.

We are working on a location that would possibly allow us to have 2 days worth of classes where we can offer the Trism's and History courses on one day and the electives on another day, like Tues. and Thursdays or Wed. and Fridays, we will see.

So if you are remotely interested and want your voice to be heard, NOW is the time.

We will start promptly at 6:30 and dismiss promptly at 8:30, then the HHEAC board will continue from 8:30 - 9:30, voting on and making some decisions on the previously discussed information.  If you are already part of HHEAC and on the board, I must know prior to the meeting if you are continuing next year, because only those continuing will be voting, we will fill spots on the board as deemed necessary.

I look forward to meeting with you all, if any of you have questions, please feel free to email me or call 274-4112.

Blessings in the name of Jesus Christ,
Teresa
