I'm back!
Did you miss me? Har!

I have done a four-day school for a number of years. Wednesday is our "alternate" school day. We have piano lessons in the morning and have had an art co-op in the afternoon for many years. We do all those cool things that you'd like to do but don't seem to get to do like logic puzzles, geography games, home ec, etc. Plus, it's the day I try to schedule all the doctor's appointments and running around. I don't go for groceries or anything on this day, but I do run some errands with the kids if we are in town (library and so on).

You probably won't get through the math book or any other textbook, but you will get enough done that it won't feel like you're skipping school. I still count our "alternative" day as a day of school as we are doing all sorts of educational things.

weekend
I really love weekends too. I spend most of it working. When our son goes back to school I plan on cutting back on my hours.

Thank You
Thanks so much for answering my question. Very kind of you. It sounds like it would be too crazy to do them seperate so I am going to combine them.

It sounds like Saxon Phonics K is a good fit for both Brent & Caleb. I haven't started Caleb with his long vowels. I hope it takes us no more then 30min. When I do SP Intervention with Josh it probably takes between 30-40 min.
If all goes well with Phonics K I plan to use 1 & 2 with Brent & Caleb. I'll just keep them together.

I know what you mean about talking about curriculum. I could talk all day about it if I had someone to chat with. Most of my family is not interested.Only my sister Cynthia because she homeschools too.

Have a good week!
