Today I cleaned the bathroom, cleaning the glue from the tops of all the tiles. My husband said the tiles were so sticky, he had to wash his hands numerous times while he was laying them. They still managed to get a lot of "sticky" on top of them, which we left until today to let the floor dry. The tiles still move a little, but not as much as they did. There is a lot of flex in the board underneath, and we think that is what causes it. Oh well, it looks a lot better than the carpet, and if we ever re-do the bathroom (in the hope stage right now), the floor will probably be different anyway.
In addition to that, I vacuumed the whole house, helped the children tidy their rooms, washed the kitchen floor, did three loads of laundry and made pizza for supper. My feet are complaining at the moment.
My Saturdays are usually busy with housecleaning, so this isn't too unusual--except that I rarely make home made pizza on Saturday (we usually eat leftovers), and I am not generally cleaning my bathroom floor with Goo Gone and cottonballs. Is it the nurse in me that thinks of cleaning with cotton balls?
I usually try to get school ready for Mondays too, but I am just not in the mood today. Maybe I can plan lessons on the computer, and that will make it easier to organize the books later--but really the thought of doing school Monday is not appealing at all. I think I have Spring Fever. I want to clean windows, sort winter clothes, organize my linen closet, sew, and do anything but school. I've only got three weeks before we have another break. Surely we can keep going until then.
Anyone else ready for a break in the school routine?
