It has been ages since I've blogged. So many other things to do, so little time!
Highlights of this week: Boo lost his first tooth. The adult tooth had already pushed through the gum behind his tooth and was pushing it out. He was so surprised when I pulled it (after we'd wiggled it for days) and it didn't hurt! His sister had been warning him "If you pull it too early, it hurts"--the voice of experience. For me-- my baby is really growing up..!
The other highlight was getting to see my brother again after nearly four (is that right?) years. They have been overseas and are back for a planned six-month leave. We drove down to the city on Monday, and the four of us spent two nights in their wee one-bedroom apartment. We had a great time with them, visiting, catching up on life and enjoying the children's happiness at being with an Auntie and Uncle. Neither of them wanted to hold my hand whenever we went anywhere.
We got home on Wednesday and did a day of lessons yesterday and our usual Friday routine today. Then I've been planning menus and trying to get the house picked up so I can clean tomorrow. I also have a long list of projects that I want to tackle when lessons are lighter during the summer. I've been doing a bit of sorting and discarding of stuff. There is a lot more to do! Ah life is so busy, but nicely so, at the moment. The sunshine and spring weather is really helping.
Now to call the children down for their cross-stitch lesson.
